One step closer for my website. I have my first blog page up. Could you pretty please look at it? With sugar on top? I would be ever so happy if you could give me some serious critiquing. I want to know how it could be better. In advance, thank you guys very much.

Goodnight all

Greetings Clenderfoot... Checked out your new site... looks like a good start... I will share a couple of little things with you for reference... you asked for critiquing, so I will offer a couple of things.

Many do not realize that a visitor to your site makes the decision to click or leave you site in less than 3 seconds. Re-visit your site and try to view it as a visitor... Did you see anything on the Home page that made you feel compelled to click and explore further?

I think the header needs a bit more work... Great photo background(or slider) to help tell your wonderful story and reflect your posts... something like a beautiful mountain trail, or riding on a beach... or down a quiet highway... something that depicts what you feel inside when riding... something that helps support what you are wanting to share with your visitors... something that helps tell your story... something that makes them want to know more... :)

Also thanks for following me. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask... have a nice weekend... and Welcome to WA... Julie

AWWWhhhh here we go again with the language. I laugh at my ignorance. so much to learn. Thanks for the critique. Yes yes and yes my website needs lots of work. I am willing, just not able. I agree with you about the Header. I had one there, It is just too big and I don't know how to make it smaller. I will toss it back in there, maybe you could take a peek and let me know how to shrink it if possible.

Thank you. I appreciate the critiquing. I know much needs to be done. I am definitely working on finding the image I want to have in the header. I keep going back and forth on that=I like the background-wanted it to be the header but I can't shrink it. I want something small enough that the content is immediately visible. Thanks again for the suggestions. Much appreciated.

Looks great! I enjoy riding too. Your writing gives the sense of a personal touch with your readers–very pleasant. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Mama1. I had two goals for my first blog to my website. Okay maybe it was 3. No special order to the goals. Goal one was to force myself to get going with the content. Goal two? how to avoid turning off people who show up to an empty web site--Goal 3 bring people in and let them know they are why the website is here. Hopefully inviting people to watch the site grow will get them to come back. Thanks for your comments.

Looking good so far, I guess your about me page is Clenderfoot. For now my comment is about your images. I like to click images and see where it will bring me, yours it brought me to an open tab... which is not good because you're are letting me go away from your site. If you are not monetizing your images you can unlink them to keep your readers to your site. hope this help a bit...Nenita

thanks Nenita, I appreciate the feedback. Can you tell me how to unlink the images? Would love to move them to other places on the blog too, but I think I might be stuck with them as they are. Thank you much again.

click the image on the left side 2 icons will pop up one is delete and the other one is like image click that one and this will bring you here http://d.pr/i/jJIn at the bottom you will see the Link URL leave it empty:)

Thank you I will try it now.
