I Did It! I Achieved My Goal
I finally achieved a goal I set for myself here at WA. No one can appreciate this more than I do.
About two months ago I decided that I needed more money than my retirement income provided. So I logged into my WA account once again. The last time I looked, my ranking was 700+. When I looked at my ranking again last September 2018, my ranking was 6600.
I looked at the rankings of other WA members and saw that many who joined less than a year ago had rankings in the top 200 or lower. couldn't like that.I didn' like the fact that I joined WA in 2008 and had little to show for it. The first time I joined WA I felt that I got a great deal, but sometime later I let my account lapse. When I paid again, my payment was higher. Not by a lot, but enough to make me go yearly when K and C offered it to me. That way I wouldn't have to worry about making monthly installments.
In the meantime, I was paying thousands of dollars to other internet marketers. Why? All because I was not able to build a website. My first attempt at building a website was with a company that offered me use of a WYSIWYG editor. I couldn't understand what I was being taught. So, I continued my search to learn how to build a website. I learned about internet marketing, but I still couldn't build a website. What good was that knowledge if I didn't know how to put it to use?
Little did I realize that my search to build a website was already waiting for me here. All I had to do was access the training, but couldn't. Not for a long time. A series of misfortunes prevented me from accessing my computer from 2015 to late 2017.
As I stated earlier, I saw all these members with less than a year in the top 200 in rankings. I set my goals to relearn the training that I had already begun ( OEC ) with Level 1. I had completed almost all of the Level 1 training, but so much time had passed that I forgot most of what I learned. My other goal was to get in the top 200.
Today, November 1, 2018, I accomplished that goal.!! This is a milestone for me because I am not really a goal setter. I sacrificed some training, but completing my goal to be in the top 200 is huge for me.
I want to thank everyone who helped me achieve this goal by commenting on my comments, the likes I received on comments I made and the follows from other members.
Now it's time to devote most of my time to my training. My next goal is to complete my next lesson. I am taking it one step at a time.
I hope that those who read this learn from me never to give up. Kyle and Carson have training here so easy to follow that even I finally understand what I am learning.

Hi CLandi, we have several things in common....we are retired ( however I'm still working a full-time job ) we both started training and switched gears and now I too have been concentrating on reading and commenting on posts to improve my ranking. I've gone from around 34,000 to 7288 in the span of a week. I think it's important to network with as many people as possible here at WA. Good luck with your training and website.
That is awesome, Cal. How can you work a job and be retired?
Thank you for your comment. I'm following you now.

Congratulation on your achievement Chuck, your determination and the ability to follow thru are areas in our life we ALL struggle to maintain, remain and execute, that's why the Wealthy Affiliate Comradery is critical to us all, it helps us stick together thru thick and thin in the battlefield of remaining on task.
Congrats my friend!
Now it's time to work harder to stay there and accomplish your next goals :)
Congratulation for achieving your goal.
That shows with determination, there is nothing impossible.
Keep up the great job.

Way to go. Keep working at it. You can achieve your goals if you keep working at them! I know I have been!

Congrats on hitting your goal. Just to be clear the ranking you see here at WA is a representation of how much you interact and contribute to the WA community. It is not a reflection of how well one is doing with their site or niche.
Things like interacting in Live Chat, posting trainings, answering questions and so on are what go into that calculation. If you click on the rank number you'll see your over-all breakdown in various categories. Those combined make up that ranking number.
You may have already known this but it wasn't clear in your post here so I thought I'd bring it up just to be sure.
Again, congratulations on your goals.
Thank you for your comment. It is very helpful. For that I will follow you.
