Using Time During Lockdown - Applying Wealthy Affiliate SEO Training
Applying SEO Training to My Non-WA Hosted Travel-Related Site
This is an update on my activities here at WA. I have done many SEO courses over the years. That is the reason some of my pages on my Travel related site has produced a consistent income over the past 6 years. Until Lockdown came and the flights screeched to a halt internationally.
The Big Goog didn't play too kindly with my site with the latest Core Update either. Listening to Jay's teaching about SEO has refreshed some points for me that I have become negligent about and in addition, just fine-tuned my understanding of SEO - Thanks, Jay!
So I have set out using Search Console and discovered pages with loads of impressions, but no clicks. Analyzing these, I discovered page 3 - 4 rankings for long tail keywords. I mean hundreds spread across the spectrum of pages.
Jaaxy is Bringing a Whole New Perspective
I realize that I built many of them before I had the knowledge I have now, so have been spending time tweaking simple things like titles, descriptions and content intro's.
These are obviously the ones in need of improvement.
Using Jaaxy is really handy to get better insight and has brought a whole new perspective in possibilities for refreshing old content.
Lastly, I'm not forgetting to add that all important link to an external source at the end of the page.
I'm doing this out of hope. At some stage those jet engines will be firing up again and tourists will begin to depart for their destinations for R&R. Then I want my pages to be in the best position on search engines to get a share of those bookings.

Hey Chris, it seems like companies like Ryanair and Easyjet are gearing up for a fair amount of summer travel in a month or two so hoplefully you'll be, like them, getting lots of traffic!

Hi Chris, I am sure that the housekeeping you have done on your pages will pay dividends in the long run.
Best wishes for when the flight lockdown is finally lifted.
Take care and stay safe.
