At The First Month - WA!

Today marks the day I have officially been at WA for my first month! Well actually that was yesterday. My first month here would have technically been the 15th but I was working.

I feel like I have learned so much and fried my brain at some points. Not all was amazing in the process but dang am I glad to have learned all that.

I'd like to share a little bit about my progress and what I plan to achieve next month and through the next few months after.

Here Is My Progress So Far

Posts

After a month of hard work and extensive research I have completed 20 posts. That is including my about me and privacy page because it's still a part of my site. On average a post every other day I don't think is too bad. So far a couple of my posts are ranking on the first page of google, for my keywords, which was crazy for me!

I've also been trying to post somewhat regularly on the WA blog as well. This is now my 8th post. It is cool too because I can see just from the WA blog that each post is slowly increasing in engagement and likes.

Rank In WA

I went from something like rank 200,000 to 38,000 to 13,000 to 1,300 in just 1 month which is also incredibly crazy! Being active here doesn't take much work at all. I was thinking that it was going to take many months to get even close to this level, but as each day went by, I could see it slowly getting closer to the top.

At this rate I might be an Ambassador by the end of next month, so watch out guys (:

Social Media

Twitter is my favorite among all social media. The only reason is that twitter has a gaming community and they are also very loving. They retweet my posts often and I am receiving more than 200 impressions alone with just this app. This is one app that really helps if you post more than once and every day.

Instagram is not so good however. So I usually post on this less often but at least twice a week or more and have gained a small following.

Mix is better than Instagram by a lot. So far I have posted most of my content to the site and I have received over 150 followers. One thing I don't like about it is that you can't change or delete posts once they are up. Or at least I don't know how.

Some social media I am working on are Pinterest, tumblr, reddit, and possibly Facebook but I don't want to overwhelm myself, so I am sticking to the first few for a hot minute.

Website Look

I haven't received any feedback on my site for a while. I submitted a request nearly 3 weeks ago but no one has replied for some reason. Overall, I like how it looks but I know there are things I can improve, I just need to know what.

My primary colors are blue and purple which I researched before building my website and found were 2 of the top most liked colors. The site itself is pretty simple and easy to walk through and most of my content links to multiple pages. I even have social media share buttons included on my main page and all my posts.

I've decided to start with a budget section for gaming and an advanced section of the best for gaming. Thought that would be more inclusive than just heading one direction. Overall though I think it's going well.

I more than likely will need to create a better logo for my website too. Not sure I'm LOVING this one yet.

Goal For The Next Month & 2021

Posts

Doubling the amount of posts I have now is my goal, although I will also be happy to pass that. Having 20 posts a month for 12 months will put me at 240 posts for a year. Pretty sure that is some internet dominance I would love to see.

My goal Is to reach the top 200 by next month. I may even head higher but I will be happy to achieve this goal and maintain it for many months.

Website In General

Hopefully I will have done some spectacular things to my website. Need to work on the email popup. Going to work on creating further sub sections for my categories so I can cover individual and different pieces of products. This way I will have more than one topic under each product I post.

I'm sure that I will start growing from here. Since it is my first month I can now say I am averaging 300 visitors a month. So 75 or so a week. I would also love to double this and everything else. Double the trouble for my competition.

Not entirely sure what else I should work on through the months so feel free to leave some suggestions in the comments.

How I Will Get There

Plan

My plan so far is going well. A post every other day has been giving me the target I wanted to reach. Some of my excess time has been spent watching and learning from the training which I have completed except for the bootcamp. I plan to finish that this month as well.

Going forward I have to set better expectations for myself with a simple plan:

1. Post every other day
2. Stay on top of comments
3. Research daily
4. Post often to social media and to WA blog
5. Be active within all aspects
6. Stay focused (possibly read other blogs for motivation)
7. Help others more
8. Create longer content (averaging 1,000-1,500 words now)
9. Study and learn from training resources
10. STICK TO PLAN (or do more)

Goals

My goals are very simple. GET ER' DONE. Main goal is to stay active and post often with accuracy. Be attractive and helpful to those looking for the products I promote. Learn and do as much as possible without wearing myself too thin. Then finally wipe out my competition.

Thank you all for taking the time to read about my wonderful first month at Wealthy Affiliate. Certainly I don't expect to be making a ton of money or anything at the moment as it is my building/learning phase. Although I feel like things are much easier than I was thinking at the beginning. Now I feel like the overwhelming aspects are out of the way and I can truly start looking forward.
