Interesting strategy for images...
I ran across a blog yesterday in search of image sources. This woman has gorgeous images on her site and you know where she gets them?
Allposters.com -- http://www.allposters.com/ ( no aff link)
What she's doing is taking all that beautiful art and creating affiliate links for allposters out of them to pair with her content. Free image, plus a possible commission.
I signed up last night and haven't tried it, but I did test a link using one of the images. The affiliate link is just a clickthrough on the image with the title of the piece underneath.
That's not a bad way to get free original art -- really of *every* kind -- for free without violating copyright.
:). Just thought I'd pass it along...

Let us know how this works for you. I was under the impression that Squidoo did not allow this type of links. But, I could use this on my own websites for sure. Thank you for this info.
I see many people at Squidoo use allposters for images too. They're really diverse in their selection. Good Tip. ~ Lisa
This is interesting. Not sure if I completely understand it but I'm gonna check it out.
Thanks
By the way, this guy liked my lens this morning so I cruised over to like something of his back. His lens had allposters affiliate images -- this is what they look like on Squidoo.
Handy lens, as well.

Wow. I'm really interested in this. I'm going to look in to the TOC on the allposters website to make sure this is ok. If it is, this could be a really powerful tool for all of us to use.
Looks good!
There are four states they don't accept applications from currently: Rhode Island, Arkansas, Pennsylvania and Georgia.
There's also a clause stating you can only promote products currently for sale. I don't see this as being huge, but from time to time you may lose access to a picture depending on how often products stop being offered.
Other than that it's a pretty standard affiliate program. I'm signing up now. =)
Thanks for the tip!

I'm glad it checked out Apowers. It seemed legit but thanks for going over the fine print. :)
