Google Adsense - How to fix it?

Hello to all my WA friends,
I think I need some big time help with Google AdSense. I am someone out there can help me!
Here is the situation :)
When I got my acceptance email to create an ad unit I did so no problem. Then I tried to implement it on my site using a Google Adsense plugin and I kept getting error messages. I tried with a couple of different plugins all of which gave me errors.

In the end I decided to paste the ad code into my header, into my footer and into a widget on my sidebar. All was good until today when I noticed I have ads all over the place and some blank screen space where there are no ads. It seems some of the plugins actually created ad spaces despite the errors. When I log into my Adsense account it shows I have 36 new ads. some of which are active.

My problem is I do not want ads everywhere and I do not know how to fix it.
Can I delete an ad unit and start again from scratch maybe?
Any suggestions you can offer will be great.
The site I am referring to is newfoundlanddogsonly.com

Looking forward to some help
Brenda (Cheetalope)

Okay, I see you got it fixed. Great news.

Thanks Guys, It only took me about 2 1/2 hours but I think I got it all fixed!

Yes, this looks much better, great job!

Thanks Gary, determination and persistence wins once again. Now to set it up on my second site...I certainly won't make the same mistakes twice lol

I like the text widgets, rather than the plugins. I have tried it in the header/footer too, but theme updates get in the way of that.

I see the multip ads at the top and bottom and the empty one in your sidebar. You could edit and remove the ads from your header and footer, look at the ad code again and make sure you're just deleting that part. You could wait for a theme update, which will replace the header and footer files.

It seems like the sidebar widget just below your 'Other Pages' section is the blank one. The one below that is populated.

The one below that is actually an affiliate program that I added.
I will take a look at the text editor and see what I can figure out. When I go to the site I see an ad in the header, an ad just below that on top of the page in the content and an ad at the bottom just above comments. Then I see a blank ad space about half way down the page in the content and the blank side bar ad space. But every time I access my site it seems to be different. Will I have any negative feedback from Google if I delete the code in a populated block?

I have gotten an email saying my Google AdSense account is now fully active!

The reason that happened is because AdSense takes a few days before it's activated by Google. Delete the ad code in places where you don't want it.

My problem is that some of the ad blocks seem to have been created by the plugins I tried and I do not know where to go to delete the code. I already have some live ads coming through in those blocks also as well as ads in the blocks I created manually. Then I still have blank blocks here and there.
