Hello My Fellow Entrepreneurs
Christy and I are committed to being successful marketers at Wealthy Affilaite. I know there is much that we must do to become successful. One of those issues we have to undertake is being joyfully disciplined. Sound like an oxymoron? It really isn't and I don't think joy is available to us unless we are disciplined. Please read on and I'll tell you why I think this.
I was thinking about the "get rich quick" scams I see out there and it got me thinking about how do we get rich as entrepreneurs, whatever "rich" means to you. One thing that I know is that it is rarely if ever quick. It has never been quick for me, but it can happen. As soon as I see someone promising me that I can make thousands my first month, then I know that someone is trying to mislead me.

Although it is an unpoplular word for many of us, "discipline" or better to say "self-discipline" can lead to a life of happiness, satisfaction, love, contribution to society and wealth. There may be no better measure of a successful entrepreneur than his or her ability to use self-discipline to get or create what we want.
I find that self-discipline in my eating, my exercise, in my business, in my realtionships and in my spiritual practice are essential for me to have the life I want.
I think we are taught that a good life is a result of doing what we want. The 60's slogan "If it feels good, do it" and its collorary "If it doesn't feel good, don't do it" are not such good mottos to build a successful life around.
It is important to have feelings, but if we base our decisions and our actions on our feelings, we may over eat, over drink, not put enough hours into creating and taking care of ourselves. I believe true love and true accomplishment are the result of good decisions and committment, not responses to how we feel.
Feelings are too erratic and unpredictable. Commitment to a person or a process can withstand the test of time and give us what we want in life...and make us more able to contribute to others.
