Gratitude for this Community
Hello my fellow WA friends. I had a good time writing a blog on Monday. Writing is probably the biggest strength I bring to my Website. (Thank God my partner Christy is here for the rest of it) I was just thinking about how contributing to and helping build this community helps all of us in our goals to create a website that is engaging and persuasive.
Does that make sense? It does to me in these ways…First, business is fun but it can be frustrating. We experience setbacks and failures. This is a community where we are understood and we can come and lick our wounds. Getting that kind of acceptance and support from our fellow sojourners can make a huge difference. We find we are not alone. All of us have those setbacks and challenges.
Right now Christy and I are struggling through getting our site set up and ranked and it is not easy for us, but we are getting there. As we communicate here, we realize we are not alone. Others have struggled with where we are and have come through it. This is wonderfully encouraging. We are not the only ones who have been through this. We will break through bit by bit.
Then of course, this community is a great place to share victories. When we got indexed by Google, it was a big deal and fun to share with others who know that it is a significant accomplishment when it happens the first time.
Then I have found that being part of a supportive community helps my attitude and makes me a better writer. I am feeling part of a group that really does care that I am making progress and that feels good. As I feel better, I know that the intonation of my writing is more uplifting as I am better able to communicate, coming from a place of feeling good about myself.
Of course there are the tremendous opportunities to get information here from others who are more experienced in different areas.
This is something I have never seen before in my many years in business. The generosity and willingness to help others is highly unusual and quite remarkable. This is a great place to be for so many reasons.

You are so right, Tom. I'm quite new to this community but have been so impressed with the helpfulness and positive attitude within the WA community. It's so supportive to hear from others who experience similar problems and obstacles and how to get about them. You feel you are not alone but learning in a classroom with like-minded people which really helps you stay positive and focus on your tasks.
