My Disney Experience.

Hi everyone I have been away from WA for few weeks, involved with the family and vacation. Just returned from Disney World, had a great time, yet still somehow still learning new things.

Let me explain. On vacation, my wife likes to sleep in, not me. I like to get up and find a place to have a cup of coffee, usually around 5:30 am (crazy I know). We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. So after finding my cup of coffee, I headed to a place where I could look out into the field to see the Giraffes start there day.

As I sat there a man came with his coffee and said: “See I am not the only crazy one to get up at this hour”. We laughed. Started small talk, but got around to our interests, so I told him about my blogging. How I was involved with WA. He said he also was a blogger and that is how he makes his living. Now I said to myself,” I don’t want to let this guy know I am a newbie”. But he asked and I said I was new at it.

He knew about WA and said you couldn’t have picked a better place to learn about affiliate marketing. Then went on to say he had been doing it for ten years, learned what he knew from trial and error. Content and showing you want to help people in your niche was important. Yet, you have to take advantage of today’s technology to give you every edge to rank yourself high on Google and Bing.

So I said to myself again “ Keep quiet and listen and learn” He went on to say that in the past when he first started adding “Tags” was very important, but not so much today. Yet, he said he still believed there was still merit to still add them. He said back then it was time-consuming. That it would not be worth doing it today, except with new Plugins that it only takes a few seconds to do it is worthwhile and will help. He said he uses WP Tag Machine Pro. He said Plugins have really changed the game and give you the edge with Google and all the other platforms.

One plugin he likes is Thirsty Affiliates Link Cloaker WP. He said that blogger and especially newbies have a problem making money due to the lack of optimization. Optimizing an affiliate link is easy when using the right tools. So he told me to look into Thirsty Affiliate Link Cloaker WP and that is free to download. He also said it protects you from someone hacking your affiliate link and redirecting your commissions to their account.

Well, this was new to me. But maybe something talked about here at WA. I would love to hear from some of our senior WA associates and anybody else’s thought on this. Every day is a chance to learn something new. Who knew I would learn something new at Disney watching the Giraffes and having my morning coffee.
