September 2016 Report & Goals for October

Well after an awesome August, September was a bit sucky in blogland. Mostly because I got into a bit of a funk. Why? Who knows. Maybe I just hit a bit of a lull in motivation. Though I think it has something to do with all the free webinars I was watching and all the sales copy I was exposed to. Plus having to do my update and admit I missed practically all my goals... well it was a little disheartening.

But, on the other side of the coin (freelancing), it was a different story. I invested in a freelance writing course and scored a new recurring client at ~$800/month. Nice! But now I'm even busier. Lol. I'm also adjusting to the idea that I really won't have to go back to work now.

How'd I go? September Goals

1. Increase Traffic
2. Increase Email Subscriber List
3. Increase Income

Increase Traffic

• Guest Posting - pitch and write at least 2 guest posts. NOPE
• Commenting on Niche Blogs - cut comment time down to 30 minutes a day and monitor how effective it is. STOPPED ENTIRELY
• Instagram - post daily on Instagram and be active for 15 minutes a day. NOPE
• Facebook Groups - be active in 5 Facebook groups a day. NOPE
• Pinterest Power Up - schedule an hour a week to creating new pins for my blog posts. NOPE

Increase Email Subscriber List

• Webinar - 29 September, 4am (my time). Write it in your calendars :) I have no idea how I'm going to do it now that Google Hangouts have changed the rules, but I'll have to work it out. NOPE
• Landing pages - improve my current landing pages. Create more for guest posts, webinars, e-courses, etc. KINDA
• Lead magnet - complete my lead magnet by 8 September. NOPE

Increase Income

• pitch for freelance work from job boards. YEP

Goals for October 2016

My goals for October are to get right back to basics. I feel like I maybe tried to go a bit too fast and hard last month.

1. Increase Traffic
2. Increase Email Subscriber List

• Post weekly - I missed a few weeks in September, my goal for October is consistency.
• Promotion is Facebook groups daily.
• Pinterest Power Up - schedule an hour a week to creating new pins for my blog posts.

Increase Email Subscriber List

• Lead magnet - complete my lead magnet this month.
• Create content upgrades for my most popular posts.
