Remember To Do This.

Hello, Fellow Members!
This is a post to help you in case you are an Amazon Associate and add their affiliate links to your site/s. I really do like being an affiliate of theirs, but I wanted to share this.
A few months ago, I had two (2) websites listed on Amazon to which I was adding affiliate links. (Each site had its own name and number.)
About one month ago, I created a new website. Well, actually, I transferred the former domain's contents to the current one. I had not thought to add the new website's name to Amazon. (That was a mistake.)
Three days ago, Amazon decided to review my sites. (One is no longer up and running and the other was the one that the content was transferred from.) They advised that they were not able to access either site. I do not know why they could not access the one that had the information transferred from it.
Nevertheless, my account was deactivated. I felt like crying when I was advised that I had to remove each and every link that was on my site and add the links that were related to the new website; otherwise, I would not get any revenue from orders that were placed.
I had to reapply to be an Associate of Amazon. I did so last night and everything went through immediately. I have 18 posts that need to have the Amazon links removed and the new links added. As you can imagine, this will take quite a few hours to do.
I was glad that I could reapply and resume my dealings with Amazon. I really do like being an associate of theirs.
So, I've written this post to save you the time and trouble of having to remove and add new links, in the event that you create a new site. It is best to do this: If you create a new site and are an associate of Amazon, remember to add the new site so no issues of this nature arise.
Warm regards,
Cathy
You probably just saved alot
of Headache's for some of us
who are thinking of doing this.
Thanks,
James
Thanks for sharing this important info. I am also an Amazon Associate but with little success so far. I wonder if it could be that my website is ranked on page 150 by Google (lol)?
