On the Move Again

Our lives are nothing short of adventurous. Almost two years ago, we packed up our family and moved 1,400 kilometers west. We started a new life in a new town and a new province in Canada and it's been quite a whirlwind. The changes haven't always been easy. My husband got injured on his job a few months in, our girls had a hard adjustment starting a new school mid-year and my husband had to go for shoulder surgery just before Christmas last year.

This fall, he started a new job as a driver with a different company and it seemed to go well in the beginning. But, he was getting rather tired of the trucking life. He had to go to another city for driver safety training, as all the new drivers are required to go through that. He ended up finding out about a great opportunity within the company, applied, went through an interview and got the job. It's a great opportunity for him and means some much-needed stability for us. It does, however, mean that we'll have to move again. We've decided to look into homeschooling our girls for the rest of the school year, as we don't want them to have to switch schools again. I'm a little nervous about it, as I didn't think I was the type of mom who could homeschool, but we're trying to get on with an online program, so I'll just have to guide them. So we'll give it a trial run and see how it goes. Wish us luck!

With all the crazy going on, I haven't been able to put as much time into here as I'd like. Going to have to really manage my time well in the next couple of months with packing boxes, Christmas, looking for a new home and putting time into my business. It's going to be busy for sure but one step at a time is all I can do.
