Mother Earth Has Renewed Human Connection

How many ways does man make connections in a modern world? We have our families reunions, churches, sports stadium and music entertainment stages. Of course, there are many more places where humans gather for an array of events. Transportation, hospitals and prisons unemployment lines college graduation. These are just a few to name in today's society.

The gladiator games lasted for nearly a thousand years, reaching their peak between the 1st century BC and the 2nd century AD. The games finally declined during the early 5th century after the adoption of Christianity as state church of the Roman Empire in 380. Ancient Romans built large amphitheaters all over the Roman empire. About 230 Roman Amphitheaters are found all over the area that was under Roman regime.

I did some research in this area to bring about a topic on devastating infectious diseases. People in almost every city and country are talking about today's corona-virus. Where did it come from? How long will it stay? Who will die next? When will a cure be ready if there ever will be one and the final big question is earth doing this to us?

The answer to all of these questions may very well be in the numbers. By the time the global SARS outbreak was contained, the virus spread to over 8,000 people worldwide and killed almost 800. From 2012 until 31 January 2020, the total number of laboratory-confirmed MERS-CoV infection cases reported globally to WHO is 2519 with 866 associated deaths.

Seems that only one person can spread this disease to a large gathering of by coughing near an individual. Maybe it's all random transmissions. Washing hands, isolation and wearing mask is the best option. Nothing to do with the earth after all. Only human negligence of the order of things.
