Boy, This Creating Posts and Posting Everyday Is So Darn Time Consuming!
Hello Wealthy Affiliates,
Whew!! I just realized today how long it takes to post one idea or a link to an article on the four social media platforms I use which are YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.
First I create an article, then I either create a video in both a YouTube and Instagram format to go along with my post, and then I create my text to go along with what I am posting. I also create a ton of photos on Canva to go along with my posts just in case my video does not match up correctly. I also have to create a featured image for each post I do!
I have to tell you, it takes me a good hour or more to do all of the above if I want to do it professionally and meaningful. And that is just for one post.
I have three websites; two affiliate sites and one site where I sell the handmade products I make. Sometimes I find it almost impossible to post on each one every day.
In fact, I often do not post on all of them every day as I just do not have the time. (I also have a window washing business).
Does this sound familiar to any of you? I bet it does. And, the reason I posted this is because no matter what, just keep going. Even if you do not post a ton, like some of the more successful members here, posting something every day is certainly better than not posting at all.
As you probably have heard again and again, 90-95% of affiliate marketers quit after the first year. I admit, I have felt like quitting but I refuse to. Because, if I can become one of the 5 –10% that hang in there, then there is great hope for me and for you too!
One more thing before I end this post. I realize it is hard to come up with ideas about what to post next. Here is something I read today in my email that I wanted to share with you written by Neil Walsch, the author of “Conversations With God”
Neil writes:
"On this day of your life
Mike, I believe God wants you to know ...
... that the man with a new idea is a crank
until the idea succeeds.
Mark Twain said that, no doubt with a twinkle in his
eye. Do you have a new idea about something? Go
ahead and share it, or put it into motion. Do not be
afraid of the doubts or disapproval of others.
Those things will be there, of course. But what of it?
Ideas are God, saying hello. Never pass one by, or
let a good one slip away. How do you know it's good?
You don't, until you try it. That's the whole point..."
I hope this little bit of inspiration helps you to stay on course and never give up.
Thank you,
Mike

Hey Mike,
Thank you for sharing your struggles. We use AI to do most of the heavy lifting and thus we don't have this problem.
I usually batch-task for a few hours and create rough drafts and YouTube scripts for months in advance. I then do thorough edits and make the needed changes in the second batch, then schedule them all.
Hi Hein,
That is great advice. I appreciate your comment and it sounds like you have been doing this for a while. Mike
Yes, indeed. You're welcome! It is a game-changer, and you can use AI humanizer tools to make it comletely "human-written" and then edit to add your own voice afterwards.
I understand where you are coming from. I manage a lot during the day too.
I keep telling myself that I made this a 5 year plan and I am sticking to it.
I am retired so I have the time and plan to stay busy doing something, so why
not build a successful business.
Larry
Right on , Larry. So many retired people just sit around. I am glad you are going for it and creating something great. Mike
Hi Mike I feel your pain. And thank you for the words of wisdom. It certainly helped me to understand that things take time and with passion, dedication and the belief in yourself and your mission, anything is possible.
Hey Reddog,,
You are absolutely right. Time and patience is two of the main things we need to stay in this game. Thank you, Mike
Yeah Mike, sometimes I feel sorry for myself, spending so much time on my pc marketing my art more than I ACTUALLY MAKE ART. Then I encourage myself by saying that I need to perfect my workflow to make things smoother and easier!
Maybe, it could help you working in batches: one week you write two posts, the other week you create and schedule content for social media, and so on! I find this easier to manage!
That is good advice. I appreciate it. What kind of art do you do? I am somewhat of an artist myself as my other business is where I make handmade lamps out of stone and wood for cabins and lodges. Thank you, Mike
Cool. I had to look that one up as I have not heard of that medium before. My wife is a good artists but she uses mostly water colors and acrylics. But, she just does it for fun and not to sell. Thank you for letting me know. I am going to see if my wife knows about gouache. Thank you for replying. Mike
Oh wonderful! I painted in watercolor for many years but last year I switched to gouache! She will surely know my medium!! You welcome dear!!
