Hello folks at WA,

I am not ready to give up on Christmas mode. I will still be posting Christmas - related content for a couple more days but I will definitely switch to New Years on or before the 31st. (By the way, my cover photo is from a tree I put up two years ago - this year I am only using a 30 inch tree on a table)

I have had an enjoyable block of time off from work but not spent much time on here, I was on Facebook quite a bit. I just received a gift of another day off because of weather. But I will be thinking about everyone who has to drive in the freezing rain.

Thank you to everyone who extended Christmas greetings in comments on my blog. I just got to your comments today, I do believe it is important even in WA to reply to every comment.

Town Christmas tree
If, like me, you are still celebrating the Christmas season, what form does that take? I am still watching some of my favorite Christmas movies, and eating some of my last batch of Christmas cookies which I made on the 27th.

Sugar cookies with Christmas shapes, still on the pan

I visited a cemetery, briefly because of the cold, on Saturday.

I visited a cemetery on Dec 29thI was thinking about people who have died this year, and all the cemetery scenes in movies of A Christmas Carol.

I also took some photos of the town decorations.

I have made it a point to watch at least one of Vitaliy's short videos, every day. And almost every day I have posted a video to my Facebook page, though I am still working on how to create good Reels content with a niche that deals with a lot of copyrighted material, which is movies. I have come to the realization that I can talk about the movie, as long as I don't show clips or screenshots and don't quote exact dialogue. I'd love to hear your thoughts on how to approach such material. I also haven't figured out how to make properly dimensioned reels on my laptop so I usually use my phone to do that.

I am also looking back on what has happened in this year, more on that when I post about New Years. Anyway, thanks to all who are reading or following my blog.

True, we know it will come around again. Happy New Year!

I am definitely still in Christmas mode with regards to movies, cookies and Christmas music... Enjoy! And it sounds like you are diligently doing some work and training every day. :-)

Bryce....Still in the Christmas mode here on the Island. Christmas Junkanoo parade is completed.

Looking forward to our New Year's Day Junkanoo. Working on some of those Hallmark movies. You know the ones you can predict the storyline. Always feel good and warm, and best of all a Happy ending. Love watching feel-good movies, especially during the Christmas season.

We usually celebrate right into our first holiday after Christmas in January.

That all sounds good. I very rarely get a chance to watch Hallmark movies, but I would like to. It sounds like you are having a lot of fun, keep it up! Happy New Year to you and your family!

Bryce...many happy returns to you and family. All the best for the new year.

I’m right there with you, Bryce 😊 You’re definitely not alone—Christmas always feels like more than just a day, and it’s nice to let the season wind down naturally. I love how you’re keeping the spirit alive through movies, cookies, reflections, and even quiet moments like visiting the cemetery. Those pauses can be surprisingly meaningful.
I also appreciate your reminder about replying to comments—community really does matter here. And your approach to movie-related content makes sense: sharing your thoughts and insights without clips or quotes keeps it creative and personal. Looking forward to your New Year reflections when you share them.
