Spam Again?

Hi Everyone, I have had a new development with spam...gone are the long blurbs about nothing... then I had no spam for about a week... I do have a plug in.....that is blocking most of it.... and then suddenly I had 240 in my inbox.....they say things that could be credible.... nice blog.. etc... sometimes the english is a bit dodgy......and they are from legal firms, dentists, garage door specialists, escort agencies.. roofing firms... I am assuming this is spam, could someone please confirm please. Thanks so much.

flattery is the give away that they are spam...they can do that without reading your content, as Adeng and Kyle say, relevant to content is key

Spam comments are quite irritating, needs to filter them out. :)

You know what? I'd just mark All comments that are not relevant to your contents as Spams. Then delete, block.

Yes good idea will do that... my site is about kids..... escort agencies are not really appropriate!!!! Roof plumbers and shingles!!!! We don't have many houses here with shingle tiles on the roof!!! EEk! I really appreciate your reply. Thanks so much.

Spam sucks, and I dint mean to, but just did a spam here. I deleted it. Unfortunately your plug in will only catch spam under certain circumstances. If you get an email with a lot of people attached to the email it will be marked as spam. Also if you get one that has slink it might be also. Otherwise it is a crapshoot
