What Is The Best Source For Pure Water?

I’ve been researching this topic for some time, and I haven’t come up with the definitive answer as yet.

Far more important than the quality of the Food we eat is the Water we drink and the Air we breath. If I’m going to be my healthiest I’ve got to drink the purest water I can find, and afford.

My search started when I started hearing about the dangers of Fluoride in the water. I started by looking at water filters, but most of them don’t remove the fluoride and other contaminants.

The ones that do remove everything… Remove Everything!… Including the minerals. But, I want the minerals, I know that our crops and food have been severely robbed of such nutrients. I don’t want to lose any more.

Bottled Water any brand is probably not the answer.

So, my search continues. I just found and ordered a product today that completely blew me away. I have no idea if it works, but if it does, I’ll let you know then.

But, I want to hear fromYOU!

  • Are You concerned about the Water You Drink?
  • What’s the Best Water You’ve Found?
  • Is It An Affordable System?
  • Do They Have An Affiliate Program?

TIA

Phil

I've been concerned about my drinking water for many years. Stopped drinking tap water about 25 years ago, from there went to bottled spring water, then on to carbon filtered. About five years ago discovered ionized water, did my research and bought what I felt was the best ionizer on the market ~ a Kangen system, which runs about $5000. It filters the water using a carbon filter, and the filtered water is then ionized over titanium plates. The result is water that is highly antioxidant, alkaline, and great tasting. The science behind it is complex, and convincing. The taste is even more convincing ~ I started drinking way more water once I bought the system. And you can control the level of alkalinity also. Anyways, there's too many good things to recommend about it ~ I suggest you look into it if you're really interested in upping the quality of your water. ~ Shelley

Shelley, I've heard mixed reviews of Kangen, at $5K I would have to say that was not affordable.
I think I can do a lot better.

I'm sure you have; the water ionizer business is a super competitive one ~ it's not easy to get to the simple facts of the matter :-) Affordability is relative, but you're right, it's not cheap!

"Affordability is relative, but you're right, it's not cheap!"
You're right Shelley, but I am.
Pamela, posted a way to neutralize the Fluoride in my water for less than $5 a year... Now we're talking!

Hey Phil, water is a concern for me, as it's the only thing I drink, we are made up of so much water and it is vital.
My parents have got a water filter system which is quite good that were given to them.
Though lately I have been getting emails about a water system that is meant to be really good, but quite expensive.

Yeah Vince, it's easy for them to get expensive... which fails the criteria of Affordable.

Hi Phil, I installed an infiltration system about 10 years ago. Now need to check if it removes minerals, never thought about that.

It was 2000 Euro to get installed, and 120 Euro a year for a complete service.

Water does taste great though!

Ben, if it does everything you want I would say that your system is affordable. It sounds like it works out to about a Euro a day, over ten years.

I would have to have the water tested to see what's in there and what isn't.

Phil it is a 5 stage reverse osmosis system - here is a link for more information, though of no use to you as they are Irish you may find some good information:

Good one Ben, "Irish Water" ;^)
An Irishman once told me that "fish fornicate in water so he wouldn't drink it". LOL

If that's the system you have it seems to be doing all the right things.

Had not heard of that one in particular Phil, but sounds typically Irish ROFL

Intresting article, I like all the replies. Thanks for sharing..

Run-off from a glacier
John

I'm sorry John, I had to re-read that I thought you just told me to "Run off a glacier!" 8^)
Yeah, that would solve my problem.

Well, I live on a timber plantation in the Hoh Rain Forest of the Pacific Northwest. We have pure well water here. I spent many years in San Francisco where we had to buy bottled water in order to avoid the forced medication imposed on us by ignorant and self serving politicians. Flouride is a neurotoxin produced by the smokestack runoff from aluminum smelters and the Tampa Bay fertilizer industry, and is not to be equated with the natural flouride found in seawater. This crap does nothing - nothing - to prevent dental carries in children. If the producers of this poison did not have a market for it, they would need to spend a lot of money on toxic waste disposal. Buying politicians is infinitely cheaper. Anyway, I've got pure water now and I appreciate it immensely.

"Anyway, I've got pure water now and I appreciate it immensely."
As you should Werner.

Hi Phil,
Great post and I also agree with you to do your search carefully when looking for the best quality of water, food etc.
My husband and I are fortunate may I say because we have our own well water and a good one too.
I love drinking water and therefore I am also very picky which water I drink.
Our water can be tested for FREE and I fill my water only into glass bottles. Plastic bottles are not an option due to Xenoestrogen pollution through the plastic.
Have a great weekend
Sylvia

Geeez, does everybody on WA have a well...except poor me. 8^(

After my first income here, I will go straight away to buy a mashine for distilled water. Now I survive with S.Pellegrino water because it is in glass bottle.

Thanks for your reply.
I've made distilled water, it's a long slow process and the result is "Dead Water".

It is pure formula, better compare with liquid, full of antibiotic traces:) would be great to know what you discovered about water:)

Nemira, I will be sure to let everyone know.
If and only if it's everything that I'm looking for.

I've heard that distilled water is the best

Thanks for your reply.
My understanding is that distilled water is "Dead Water" nothing bad, but nothing good.

It is a bit of a conundrum. The bottled so-called "pure" water industry is about as phony baloney as they come. I refer you to this article: http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2011/01/21/best-and-worst-bottled-water-brands.aspx

Not only that, the disposable plastic bottles have created havoc on the environment, gorging landfills, and is a major contributor in creating scenes like this in our oceans:

The only way I know to be sure of getting real, pure, mineral water, is to have a well, have it tested, and drink from the well water. I have a cottage up in Northern Michigan where there is a natural artesian well - loaded with good minerals and tastes better than any water I've ever had.

Thanks for your reply.
No, bottled water is not the answer, any brand, plastic or glass... No.
The cottage with the well sounds nice, probably not in my budget even if you did want to sell.
You're a lucky man. ;^)

Find a local farmer who has a well, and buy water from him? Most of the year I can't be at the cottage, in fact it is co-owned with 3 other couples, and we share occupation times, so I have a water purifier attached to my kitchen sink spigot. You don't get the minerals, but at least you don't get the fluoride and all the other carcinogens they are "cleaning" our water with.

"Find a local farmer who has a well"
Marvin, I don't have any local farmers in Brooklyn.
Do you think your kitchen spigot water purifier removes Fluoride?

lol, forgot where you are.

Marvin, I try to forget at times myself.
Actually there's a Farmer's Market by Prospect Park a couple of times a week. I don't think I'm going to ask somebody to haul me water.
