A Review of Wealthy Affiliate By a Newbie

I’ve been at Wealthy Affiliate since June 2017. The community at Wealthy Affiliate calls people that are new to the program “newbies.” Honestly I’m not sure if I’m still considered one or not, but I am still learning so much, so I think I still am.

What Brought Me to Wealthy Affiliate

My home is located in a small, rural area where I’ve had to commute 60 miles a day on a narrow, curving, hilly road just for a job. While it can be scenic and wildlife is common to see, when it’s covered with ice or snow, and deer are jumping in front of your car, “scenic,” not so much!

On top of that, the job is anything but great, but details right now aren’t necessary. What matters is that these things got me looking online for something I could do to make a decent living and be able to work from home. I love computers and love learning new things. Seemed logical to me.

I’ve looked at a lot of “get-rich-quick” schemes. It’s very frustrating to see so much junk out there. All I can say is that from experience, one should be wary of any platform that suggests you will get rich immediately. It just isn’t true. There is no gold at the end of the rainbow no matter how much we would like to believe there is.

When I came across Wealthy Affiliate, I saw something completely different.

I thought, “can it really be legit?” It sure didn’t look like anything I had run across before. I was intrigued. They offered a free trial, I signed up, and new very early on that this could be something great!

They offer a free membership where you can learn to build and monetize two websites. The training is somewhat limited, but it certainly was enough to get an idea of whether this is something that I could do. It didn’t take me long until I knew this was the place I needed to be. I upgraded to premium and have never regretted it.

The training at Wealthy Affiliate is nothing short of awesome!

I am continually learning new things. Besides the entrepreneur certificate, there are video trainings that can be accessed at anytime. There are new classes added all the time. On top of the top-notch training, there are are many ways to reach out and get help with any questions that come up. Trust me, I had questions and they were answered quickly and were a tremendous help to me. Being able to get help and progress is a wonderful feature that I have not seen with other programs. They are genuine in their desire to see success with all their members.

There just aren’t enough good words to describe the community at Wealthy Affiliate.

What a wonderful, diverse and positive group of people! From all over the world it is possible to meet and get acquainted. There are always words of encouragement and support. I have never felt alone here!

So here I am 14 months later with two unique websites up and running! Although I’m not quite ready to leave the day job, I see my future and I know it’s going to happen! Me in my cozy little home office with my furbabies snuggled in around me as I work on my current and future sites! The excitement I have is real! I’m not rich yet, but my financial freedom is coming and I trust that with Wealthy Affiliate’s guidance, I will get there!

Bottom Line

I guess the bottom line in this review is whether or not I would recommend Wealthy Affiliate. The answer is a wholehearted ‘YES!” If anyone wants to learn how to be successful online, who wants to put in the time to learn the process, has patience and a will to succeed, then the sky’s the limit.
