John, I see you are making some good progress through the Affiliate Bootcamp. Just wanted to pop by and see if you need a hand with anything?

I also wanted to mention the success rates of Bootcamp. Absolutely everyone that has taken action on all of the phases of Bootcamp has a business that is generating consistent income online. MANY of these folks are going to be at our super affiliate conference next year.

I want this to be you and I want you to succeed with your promotions. So, please promise me that if you ever need a hand or feel stuck as you move forward, that you will get in touch with me!

Trust me, I know things can be a little overwhelming sometimes and I don't want you feeling like that.

Anyways, just checking in. Get back at me if you need anything John.

Thanx Kyle,
Yeah I need much help... working through the bootcamp stuff cause i can really see the potential... it simply just has to work. I wanted it fast... but I'll settle for slow... asking questions as I go along... just having problems with Ubersuggest at the moment... can't get it to work... back to Google!...
Thanks for the boost...
John

It does work if you work at it. Fast success is not a reality (unless you win the lottery or you do something that requires you to take money from someone else). We are all about long term and very sustainable businesses here at WA and as you move through the training and take action, you are going to see your business take shape.

Don't worry about Ubersuggest, do a search for Alphabet Soup in the top search bar and you will come across a technique I use to find 10,000's of keywords within any niche. ;)

Hi Kyle,
Thanks for the invite to help...you must have thousands of people wanting help so if you designate me to other people that's OK...
1/ I cannot remember how I redirected hosting a site from Hostgator to WA... please remind me...

2/ 1&1 are in a state of total confusion... They keep running around in circles, telling me I am sending them requests for authorisation codes from the wrong email address... and then they have the same problem from my paypal email address etc etc. Must try to get all my sites transferred to WA... I have just received notification that they have paid me back 2.38 pounds when I complained about paypal deductions they are making without authorisation!!
Should I open a website.rubix site for my http://Make-Serious-Money-Online.com site that I am creating to promote WA with, just in case 1&1 refuse to transfer it to WA?...(I am collecting info to put in my scam alert post)

3/ I am really struggling on Phase 1 level 4 to sort out themes, categories, topics etc... it seems py website is probably going to have hundreds of pages and never stop growing!?... Is that good or bad...

4/ Could you maybe help me with some keyword advice, I am sure I will come to it sometime in the lessons, a/ the difference between Searches and traffic... b/ If I get QSR less than 200 with traffic from 50 to 50 000 is that what i am looking for?

5/ Thanks for the encouragement... I really need it... NOBODY believes me anymore... I have been searching for this kind of help for over six years... and although I found it in 2012, I did not know I had found it...

6/ Do you think it is wrong to start sending people to my "Getting Started" page... I mean through pinterest and article marketing... or is it too early?
I'll have to write a short invite of some kind to post everywhere I can find...

Thanks for your time

1/ I cannot remember how I redirected hosting a site from Hostgator to WA... please remind me...

You will need to update your DNS settings to point to WA.

ns1.mywahosting.com
ns2.mywahosting.com

This will point your domain to WA, then you will be able to build a website here.

2/ 1&1 are in a state of total confusion... They keep running around in circles, telling me I am sending them requests for authorisation codes from the wrong email address... and then they have the same problem from my paypal email address etc etc. Must try to get all my sites transferred to WA... I recommend you purchase your domains here at WA, then you don't have this massive confusion and your DNS settings are set-up automatically.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/domains

It is going to save a lot of headache, 1&1 are typically very difficult to deal with.

3/ I am really struggling on Phase 1 level 4 to sort out themes, categories, topics etc... it seems py website is probably going to have hundreds of pages and never stop growing!?... Is that good or bad...

Yes, ideally you want to keep growing your website. More content, more traffic, more revenue. That's how it works.

4/ Could you maybe help me with some keyword advice, I am sure I will come to it sometime in the lessons, a/ the difference between Searches and traffic... b/ If I get QSR less than 200 with traffic from 50 to 50 000 is that what i am looking for?

Keywords are the premise of all of your content. Ideally you will be finding keywords with a lower competition (also known as QSR) because it means that you are going to be competition with less websites in Google when you go to create your content.

You want your keyword to meet the following criteria:

(1) Must be lower than 200 QSR initially, as you get more authority in search engines you can tackle more competitive search terms.
(2) Must get some traffic, I ideally aim for over 50 searches per month
(3) Must make grammatical sense

I recently created training on how to come up with great keywords here and this is a strategy I have always used to build out my website John ... Once you have your keyword, you are going to create a page or a post on your website targeting that keyword. It should be within the following places in your content:

(1) Somewhere in the page/post title
(2) Somewhere within the first paragraph

And then write your content naturally and make sure it is engaging. People search "keywords" when they are looking for something so as you start getting ranked under these keywords, you are going to start to see traffic.

Once you have traffic...you have a ton of opportunity to generate revenue.

5/ Thanks for the encouragement... I really need it... NOBODY believes me anymore... I have been searching for this kind of help for over six years... and although I found it in 2012, I did not know I had found it...

We believe in you, you are more than capable of achieving any level of success you set your mind to. I am here to help you every step of the way.

6/ Do you think it is wrong to start sending people to my "Getting Started" page... I mean through pinterest and article marketing... or is it too early?

No, that is completely fine. :)

Hope this helps you out John!

That's Okay... It seems you have a Christian Testimony!... that's great...
tell me if you have found out where to ask for reviews of our websites?... don't yet know where to ask for that!

I've done this though the Ask a question tab on the top of our profile pages. I'll come up with a specific question that requires someone to look at my website. In the course of the question I ask them to provide me with a general review.

Hi folks,
I have had a domain "AFrenchBulldogSite.com" since 2014...
Set up a page and posts on there... not monetized at all... no traffic...

Then "AFrenchBulldog.com" got offered to me for $300... so I left it alone... THEN a few months later I was just browsing around and found it available for $10, so I bought it...

Now I want to use this niche as my first website in Wealthy Affiliate...
The question is... should I transfer everything from my original domain to my new domain or just leave things as they are because of the age factor?...

AFrenchBulldog.com just sounds better to me!...

Any comments on this niche which I will use as my guinea pig in WA?...

Thanks
John

hiya John, I grew up with English Bulldogs and I loved them but your French bulldogs are so cute :) personally I would transfer your content to your new site, you can download and upload it with ftp. It would be a shame to lose all that good work, you can always edit and update the information on your new website. Once you have done that you can delete the content from your old site and set up a web forward from your old domain to your new one, I think that will keep Google happy and any traffic you already have. I hope you find this helpful and wish you good luck if you need any help just give me a shout. I will follow you now as I'm sure you will get plenty of advice from the community here. What does everyone else think?

Hi Tracy... you're the first real response so far... appreciate it... Yes, yesterday I launched "AFrenchBulldog.com" in WA... I am going to unpost or all my pages and posts from my other site cause I do not want to get duplicate content problems with Google... I do not know to do FTP stuff... will follow you also...

your welcome John, I understand your concerns although it's not too much to worry about duplicating between your domains it;s more to do with scraping someone else's content really, you can unpost your work but that won't delete your urls if your old site has been indexed that's why a redirect is a good option. If your don't know ftp you can always copy and paste your content to your new and you can edit it to add more value if you wanted. Ultimately it's your preference really if you want a new site with fresh ideas then go for it, either way if you get stuck just holla :) good luck

You are very welcome - and I truly mean it!! You can ALWAYS come to me for help and assistance. And no-sorry this is not PM. If you look at the top of this page on the left side you will see a box that says private message. That's a PM - you would just click on my name and go to my profile page and hit the private message box and you could then send me a private message that is only between the two of us - this is a feed and the whole community can see it. At any rate, if you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns, or get stuck - I'm happy to help - just let me know. It's the one thing on WA that really makes me feel good is when I can help people - so I mean it - ANYTIME!!!
Best wishes,
~Shannon

Thanks Shay!...cool name... okay!... read a bit about your beginnings here at WA... you seem to be a rather busy body... but you know what they say!... if you really need some some help, ask a busy person...

Thanks for the PM clarification... don't think I need to ask any questions "In the Dark"... so I'll just ask here and let everybody realise how much I need the help!...

Okay, so let me get my first goal on the plate... I need to know the best and fastest way to get my first ten recruits!... because at a 30% retention rate... at Premium level... I will have my WA venture paying for itself!...

Once that happens I will start building my pension plan!...

My advice - follow Kyle's lessons - get that website built as quickly as possible - and find some members. Word of mouth works too! But you will still need a website for them to go to - so first step are your lessons and building! Best of luck to you!

Welcome to Wealthy Affiliate! I've been waiting for you to get here!

My name is Jennifer - also known as PotPieGirl here online.

I'm very excited for you as you begin your internet marketing journey to success!

There may be times that you will feel overwhelmed and/or confused. Rest assured, that is totally natural. You are taking charge of your future and that's a BIG deal - and something you should be very proud of.

Please be patient with yourself as you work through the training - and ask for help when you need it.

If you need any help, try these options:

1. Live Chat - On the right side of your main dashboard here in WA, there is an on-going stream of live chat discussions. Have a question? Just ask in the chat box.

And hey, don't be shy - say hello!

2. The Forum. WA has a GREAT forum! There is a wealth of info in the tons of existing posts - or you can start a new thread to ask your question.

3. Stop by my personal space here on WA and leave a message:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/potpiegirl

Don't forget to click the green button to "Follow Me" - that way we can keep up!

Also, down the LEFT side of your dashboard are 3 very important areas that you should make a point to read as soon as you join.

It's under 'Recommended Training' and the titles are:

-Warm Welcome
-Your First 10 Days
-Learn How WA Works

These will all be super helpful as you learn to navigate everything WA has to offer you.

As someone who started all this knowing NOTHING, I can tell you first-hand from 5+ years of experience that it is a jungle out "there" (outside the walls of Wealthy Affiliate).

Please know that when you are here INSIDE this exclusive community, that you are safe and have all you need to grow your online business to whatever level YOU choose.

I've been here in WA since July 2008 - joining Wealthy Affiliate was the BEST decision I've made. I feel sure you will realize the same as you learn and work to make YOUR dreams come true.

I wish you all the best and remember -

It's not how fast you get there - it's how long you stay.

To YOUR Success!
