well, I'm gonna vent here for a minute. I see people here talking about books they recommend all the time, Then they suggest to other members to buy it at Amazon or who knows where. Why doesn't anyone ever recommend my site? what is wrong with it? There are 13 book stores to choose from! C'mon, someone be honest with me here! Is something wrong with my site? I try to recommend sites from people here first before I send them elsewhere when they are looking for something in particular, shouldn't we help each other out first? Geez! Where is all the community support everyone talks about?

I don't think it's anything against your site. It's just that people don't always remember who has what when you're following so many members unless you're in constant contact with them.

Thank you Sui !

Where's your site? It sounds like something I'd love!

http://fictionbooks4u.com I am currently working on a bookfinder page and will be real excited when I get it going

I love books, and I have many on my own 1st site, but so far no conversion. I have three non-Amazon bookstores listed, too.

I think books is perhaps just a saturated market....I would love to buy through your site, but I will tell you that Amazon is NOT where I would go.....if you are using Amazon, be aware that they won't even 'qualify for payment' anyone who they determine is someone 'you know'.

And it's very possible that other members here will be flagged as 'someone you know'. What other bookstores do you affiliate with?

Not Amazon thats for sure, I live in a state they won't deal with for tax reasons...I have B&N, Scholastic,Alibris,Ebooks.com,Wordery,Kobo,Audiobooksnow,The Reading Room,Printasia,Dover Publications,Booksamillion,Bookpal and Best Buy...Thanks Vicki for being honest

Hey Juli, your business should not rely on WA members' recommendations! In this business it is primarily about getting ranked in google etc. and getting visitors from there.
Just searched on Google for Jools Sinclair (your latest post) and found it on page 2, position 4. As a beginner myself I would say this not too bad (given the heavy competition).

Thanks RobS, I don't rely on folks here to buy from me, It just hit the spot when I see them recommending other stores when I know they know about mine and they know I've recommended theirs, I'm over it now, just got irritated! Sorry

Only problem with this is that evrryone here does not know who has what on there sites. Maybe we can get Kyle and Carson to add a tab where everyone can post what there site is offering.

Thanks Tommy, It just irritated me cause I have recommended people's sites on here to ppl I know that needed their products, Sorry...and yes, a list of sites or products would be nice
