Getting started and daily prep

I was posting a reply to shaunah when I though it may be worth a post, so here you are.

These are a couple of things realised after being at WA for a while.

• The quickest way to get a site up and working is by doing the affiliate boot camp. I had so many ideas floating around in my head that I wasn't really getting anywhere so I joined the boot camp and bought 2 A5 notebooks.

The first book is all about my first site, the back of that notebook is all about my 2nd site.

The second book reading from the front of my second notebook is one page for each of my daily preps. The rear of that book is for ideas, research etc etc.

I keep booth books neat and tidy and resist the temptation to jot down other stuff.

I hope that all makes sense.

• It's possible to spend so much time on the community side of the WA that your site building could suffer. There has to be a balance here. So I give community 1 hour a day. It's really important to keep up with the community as you will learn so much.

So here is my example daily prep

Wake up at 6:30 am switch on my ipad, make coffee. Go onto the balcony, watch the sea for 5 mins by which time my coffee is brewed and my head is clear. Then I sit calmly for 5 mins and wait for ideas to come, Jot them down in the ideas book.

Read yesterday's daily prep to see what I didn't do.

Then I write the first thing in my Daily prep. This is just noting the items not doing them.

Just items to action for today (including date)and how long to do them for e.g.

Tuesday 27th October

• Things ongoing from yesterday (if they are important)
• 30 mins - Read Entrepreneur website
• 1 hr - Run through boot camp lesson for today
• 30 mins - Finish page for getting started"
• 1 hr - Set out "financial side of setting up a business"
• 30 mins - keyword research for the Penang Visitor site.
• 20 mins - set up new email address for Retirees Online Business Site
• 1 hr - Do course 2 lesson 4 on WA

OK that's 4 hrs 50 min and add an extra 1 hour for yesterdays items, 1 hr 10 for lunch and breaks.

Total working day around 7 hrs, remember that when you are eating you are still thinking. So now all I have to do is do it! :)

I am sure I have missed something but you get the picture. I will update and amend after feedback.
