Almost Done with Course 2
This is not a "voluntary" blog post. I was in class, behaving myself, and just for passing a note to a girl Kyle made me stand in the corner. When I got back to my desk, there was a note from the girl, and we are going to talk at recess. So I guess it was worthy it. What do you think?
Back to the post: once I was back in class, Kyle told us that one of our assignments is to write a blog post discussing the following:
- Your progress thus far
- Your niche that you are working within
- Any successes (not just financial, but things you are proud of)
- Your plans and goals in the upcoming 3 months
- Your plans and goals in the upcoming 6 months
Well. Progress. He seems to think I have made progress. He told everyone in the class that we are to be congratulated. I actually feel congratulated. I am about to get another certification, and this for completing Course 2. My progress is also measured by being ranked. I have noticed that number moving down, down down, then going up a bit, then kind of up and down. Today it reads 178. Some of my favorite people on here are in the top 200. I can see why. They are creative; I am trying to be. They are persistent; I am trying to stick with it. They are consistent; my mentor told me I should give this 2-3 hours a day...and that is what I do.
Niche. Now this is a confusing topic for me. I started out with what I know: the Bible. I created a siterubix website, and I was proud of it. The colors and layout are not the best, and I have not done too much with it. Then I decided that since I am nearing retirement, that would be a good niche. I created a website to try to establish myself as a partner to persons considering retirement or entering retirement, or even retired for quite some time. I emphasize topics such as assessing where one is, considering retirement as a career, taking stock of finances, earning money, continuing to LEARN. I think it is a good site, but it can never measure up to some of the things I see others doing on here. It is a quasi-affiliate-marketing site, as I introduce WA on it. I have another, which is about clergy websites. I try to encourage ministers, pastors, priests and rabbis to have a website. Why? Because I think it is a good idea.
Then I have just created some fun ones. One of them, which is about "getting websites" called I Want That Website, I just posted on my Google+ account which I have had for more than four years but didn't know it until I took lesson 9.
I am proud of my progress. I am proud to be friends with some really dynamite people on WA. I am proud of what I am learning. I am a lifelong learner. My profession is adult education and ministry, so I am in the right place.
I plan to complete the courses in the next three months.
In the next six months, I am hoping to be making some money, and to have established myself in Affiliate Marketing.
Thanks for reading. And for not throwing eggs. But I enjoy informed criticism.....
