Down the Sometimes Bumpy Road of Life
Hi My WA Friends,
During the wee hours of 22 April 21, I found I couldn/t breathe. We called an emergency vehicle and I was transported to the Emergency Room of our local hospital. I was without oxygen, it seemed to me, about 15-20minutes. I am sure I was a little off, but it seemed like it.
After oxygen was administered, I slowly recovered. That was the very worst part of this story. I soon started getting better. However, I was told I had a heart attack! 100% of the main artery was blocked and 95% of the secondary artery was blocked. The doctor put in 4 stents in all and I am feeling very good now. The strange thing was no prior warning.
I thought I was living healthy, quite obsoletely I wasn't. But I have another chance and I will pay a lot more attention to eating right.
This little bump in the road doesn't deter me from our goals at Wealthy Affiliate. In fact, we are more determined than ever.! Wealthy Affiliate has been a shelter in times of several storms in the past and will be in the future.
I am feeling great now after being home for about 10 days now. I have a "myriad" of suggestions and "plans" from the hospital and staff. I have to take these seriously of course. But one thing they say is to be active, exercise, within reason, which I am doing.
Forgetting the past and moving forward has to be the main course of action.

That was a pretty serious wake-up call; so glad you pulled through okay. You were lucky, I'd say. At least you have a local hospital. I'd have to go to Juneau, a 35-minute flight just to the airport. I'll try to stay well so don't have to go through that.
I wish you a total recovery and hope you regain all your strength; so glad you have WA to help you pull through.
Hi Fran,
I am grateful that our hospital is just a few minutes away. I was not aware then how bad the arteries were. I know better now.
Thanks for your kind and caring comments.
