This seems like a problem
I went back to check on Adsense to see what was happening with that. I signed up probably in January. It said it's still reviewing my site. This seems like a problem.
Also, I tried to paste the HTML code from Adsense to each of my pages' "text" tabs. The thing is, none of them have actual HTML code; they have the same text as each page as it shows up in the "visual" tab. This seems like a problem as well.
It looks like it may be possible that I have to rebuild those pages.

Could you try canceling your Adsense application and reapply? I usually hear back within 3-4 days of submitting an application.
That's a possibility, if I can find the cancel thingy. I'll look around. Thanks.
Ok. I hadn't figured that a Google service would send mail to another Google service. I suddenly thought to check my gmail account that I never use, and I found that my Adsense account was actually approved. I clicked the "Get Started" button, and now it tells me the application is being reviewed. Still.
Also, I guess I'll go ahead and rebuild the pages to get the proper HTML code to appear, but I'll also wait for someone to stop me and show me a better way.
I get it. It's not telling me to add it to HTML on pages. It's telling me to add it to the HTML for the entire site. Now I need to find that.
Yes, dealing with Google, you are going to be hit with a lot of very specific requirements.
