WHAT ARE THE TOP 5 DEFINITIONS OF NETWORKING?

5) a fisherman
4) a day at the beauty salon
3) a job on the internet
2) an NBC employee

AND THE NUMBER ONE ANSWER IS......

FLASHING LIGHTS - 1) Interacting with fellow wealthy affiliates - FLASHING LIGHTS!!!

One of the most productive and least discussed methods of getting ranked within the WA community is to utilize effective networking. But getting ranked in WA is just the tip of the iceberg. People in this community have unabated access to an international array of knowledge, culture, camarderie, and social endeavour.

FRIENDS HELPING FRIENDS

It's not hard to find help in the chat room or forum in WA. All one needs to do is ask and there is usually someone around to answer. But it's human nature to help a friend. By networking and becoming friends with people here; you not only develop relationships and learn about others, you become part of an interactive social learning tool.

Take time to get to know people ie: What are their real names? What part of the world do they live in? What are their likes and dislikes? What are their hobbies? How long have they been in this business? Do they have any family?

Check out their websites. You cannot imagine how much information and how many ideas I've garnered from this technique. And to be quite honest, when you get friendly with someone and start to develop a relationship, it's no longer a technique but an enjoyable discourse with a friend.

WORLD WIDE COMMUNITY

Did you ever want to travel or even get to know about another part of the world? At any given time in the chat room you can find people from all over the US, Canada, Finland, UK, Ireland, Africa, Spain and the list goes on. I'd love to see how many different countries are represented here in WA. The best part is that you can talk to them in REAL TIME in the chat room. Can you imagine how much that phone bill would be!!!

EDUCATION

Naturally, in an environment so geographically and culturally diverse, you will find an array of expertise across a broad spectrum of topics. By being a member of this community, everyone has access to to this vast knowledge pool. I for one want to use the 3 meter board like an olympic diving event. There is no extra charge and access is granted by merely asking.

RANKING

Among the prerequisites for ranking and other advancements within the community, a following is pertinent. This isn't a complicated task. Be sincere and accomodating, welcome people to the community. Remember how you had the butterflies when you first joined WA? Follow them and chances are high that your new affiliate will follow you back. Build a large network and visit with them on occasion; just like calling someone to say hello on the phone. Offer them advice on how to proceed here. Be like a concerned parent.

Treat every member like family and you will always be treated like a family member!

FIVE A DAY KEEPS THE DOCTOR AWAY

I try to follow five members a day. New members, old members or remembers. My goal is to have a huge following and I know that won't happen if I'm not proactive. I greet people and welcome them to WA. I reach out to established members of the community. Obviously I wouldn't welcome them here but I would be interested to see how they're doing with IM and if they have any tips for me. People love to give advice. The more friends you have the better off you are.

Very good advise

thanks deb - i appreciate you stopping by

Great post Steve, thanks for sharing it.

Hi I am Sundar I've been trying to learn affiliate marketing I really want some one to help me learn this. Can anyone help me out

Work through the 30 days training - and watch some of the wabinars - especially the affiliate walkthroughs part 1 & 2 and the 4 quick start wabinars. If you have already done this and still feeling unsure of yourself then it wouldn't hurt to do it again because there may be a small bit of information that you missed the first time that will make things fall into place.

When you come across something you don't understand just throw up the question in the live chat and if someone is around that can help they will answer you. If you're unlucky enough to find no-one that can help at that time then write about your problems in a blog or wait until there are more people around in the chat.

You can puzzle over things for days and then get an answers in seconds by asking a question :)

hi sundar and welcome to WA - read all of the recommended trainings especially the first ten days - ditto suem - read my blog 'now what' so you'll know what to expect - comment on people's articles and don't be afraid to hit the like button if you like it - definitely ASK questions if you have them - don't move on to another topic until you're comfortable with the one you're on - pay close attention to the trainings on keywords - that's huge - as for the chat loading - i had a similar issue and kyle said it had to do with my browser -

Hi there, like this and the sentiments expressed very much. I live in Cyprus and have been fortunate enough to have also lived in ten other Countries at the last count. It is a great thing to network internationally as well as within your own country as there is just so much to learn about other cultures. Only problem I have experienced is that I cannot get the chat room to load here (internet can be iffy), so will have to rely on the forum. Always willing to help anyone, and am enjoying my time in WA,

Have a great weekend,

Hudson

thank you for your response - nice to be acquainted with diverse cultures and attitudes
