Automate your Facebook Posts
If you have a business page on Facebook, you can use this simple plugin to automate your Wordpress blog posts to update on your Facebook page. Here is a step by step guide on how to set it up.
The Plugin is called "WP Email-to-Facebook" and uses Facebook's mobile email system to post to your Facebook wall.
First, install and activate the plugin.
Next, go to your business page on Facebook and Click "Edit Page" near the top.
Click "Update Info"
In the left column click "Mobile"
Under "With Mobile Email", you will see an email address show up. It looks something like:
xxxxxxxxxx@m.facebook.com
(xxxxxxxxxx being the phrase that's diysplayed on your screen)
Copy this email.
Go back to your Wordpress site.
In your dashboard, click "Settings"
Click "WP Email-to-Facebook"
Paste the email in all the categories you want posting to your facebook account.
Click "Update Options" at the bottom of the screen.
That's it, Enjoy!!

You can do this to any Wordpress site you want posting to your Facebook wall. just set up each one once and you don't have to keep going back and forth :)

While this is a great way to speed up the process I learned the other day that websites like facebook give less priority to articles posted by automatic posting software and higher priority to those that are manually posted by users.
The reasoning behind this is that they want people to browse their site, interact and be exposed to their advertising and so if you're auto posting why should they give your articles priority?
I cannot however base this on fact as I learned this from a podcast about blogging but it makes sense doesn't it?
This is designed to post articles on MY BUSINESS PAGE, not throughout Facebook. I post comments and replies personally on other's pages under the name of my page. This generates interest in my page, the articles on MY page generate interest in my sites = traffic to my sites. Auto-posting articles to my page means I have more time to make quality personal comments to drive traffic to my page.
