Lots of hard work? Hardly.
I have done an impressive amount of work on research and on creating content. I'm pretty proud of myself for working so hard. But the fact is, not a minute of it has felt like working. I mean I have pulled some 15 hour days and they have gone by in an instant!
Problem is I don't have enough time on my hands. I have two little children. A two year old and a one year old and now my husband's holiday is once again over (thankfully he has a lot of free time from work!) I'm back on doing this at nap time and after they've gone to bed. It's wonderful though to spend time with my children and that is the main reason I started all this in the first place. I just really enjoy doing research and creating content!
Funny thing is that I created two sites; a video game reviewing site - from layman to layman: www.averagejanereviews.com and an organic urban gardening site: www.myurbangardens.com and the one I thought would be my main focus turns out to be not! The game review site was supposed to be a test run and the main focus was supposed to be on the gardening site. Surprisingly I have enjoyed the gaming site way more.
Altough I haven't had any success yet - money wise, I have had a lots of fun!
I hope in the next three months to find time to do this and spend precious time with my family!
In six months time I hope to see some financial success as well. Doesn't have to be much but to see that this can in fact pay off. It would be amazing though. To be able to make a living doing what you love!

Work, life balance is important especially when the kids are so young.
Had a quick look at your websites, job good so far they are starting to build up nicely. I would suggest one thing at this time, try and put more content into each post. It is more important to put up less content with 1000+ words than loads of smaller 400-500 word posts.
Just re-look at your posts especially the reviews and re-work them adding in more detail about the games etc. The more words they have the better google will index them and the combined effort will increase the site overall.

I read about the perfect post being between 1000-1700 words long after I'd put in most of the existing content... I've been reviewing them and making them over all better, with more insight (and naturally keywords). It's a progress and hopefully it will pay out in the end!
