Calling it Quits. Why?

Okay so recently I've come across a few posts from fellow WA members that are considering quitting because of financial reasons and or because they are not earning any money yet from their website(s). It is quite bothersome to read these posts and know someone can give up so easily without giving it a second thought.

Everyone has financials struggles, but through the struggles people find a way to move forward knowing someday their struggles will pay off. Yes, it may mean you have to sacrifice a few things, but that does not mean you have to do it forever. Where is the burning fire inside to make you want to succeed? Do you need someone to give you more encouragement? Do you need to be more confident? Come on folks get it together and march on as dreams do not come true by quitting.

Okay, your not making no money on your website yet, so what. Neither is a lot of members on here and if you have learned anything from Kyle and Carson then you know it takes time. Besides, it takes hard work and determination for you to come to the point of making money.

Indeed, we all want to make a living online doing what we love but is money more important than getting to know those who seek our help and to build relationships with them? Money is a bonus for being honest and helping others, but it's not going to happen in a few months but maybe within a year if we are lucky.

Wow! It is feasible to get an education, raise a family, and continue to learn here on WA even if you can only spend a couple hours a day doing it. Besides, it's not a rule you have to spend every waking moment here. If you can only spare a couple hours a day or even a few hours a week then do it, don't walk away.

I'm not trying to offend anyone on WA, but I want you to know you can do whatever you put your mind to. Yes, you may even get frustrated sometimes, but it's okay, we all do at some point. Take a break and do something fun and then get back at it. There is a wealth of information here and many members who don't mind helping out so take advantage of your opportunities as WA is truly one of a kind.

Its tough out there and in here at the moment but dont quit people.....

2

That's Right!!!!!

I think about people like Ray Kroc who built the McDonald's franchise not making a profit for the first 5 years. Or Harland Sanders who lived in his car driving around the country trying to sell his chicken recipe. It is said that he faced 1,009 no's till he got his first yes!
Building an online business is a cakewalk compared to what those men had to do to succeed. Even if it takes years to make money, it's still a great deal.

4

That was insightful, thanks for the share.

2

Thanks for the motivation. I'm finding it very difficult right now to spend time on training and building my website, but I'm not giving up because I do have faith that things will get better and I will eventually succeed. One can never fail until they give up.

3

Thats Correct! One cannot fail unless they give up!!!!! I have days that are difficult and I keep going. In fact I'm usually on my computer from 8am till 7pm everyday plugging away at different things.

I'm glad you have the faith to not give up and I'm proud of you for still going strong!

I have only been here a little over a month and have learned quite a bit and am still learning. My goal is to get comfortable with the process. I don't rush things.

The problem I think is that to many people are getting these scam e-mails claiming to make thousands in less than 30 days. Which gives people the wrong idea unless you have mega bucks already.

An example I like to use is Walmart. A few years back they were close to calling it quits but with dedications they pulled through and now are everywhere including some rich neighborhoods.

Now I am not saying that I am aiming to be big as Walmart but it just goes to show that big corporations had there ups and downs as well.

Like the old age saying "Rome was not built in a day."

Thanks for your input.

I have not gotten it right yet. But never will I quit! I know that I have found @ WA what I wanted to do. I am just taking it easy so that I will not be overwhelmed with too many information. I will get there soon! Thanks for sharing, Betjon!

Your welcome betcha :)

Has anyone thought that perhaps the reason for giving up is not the money aspect, just that they find developing their own website and all that goes with it to daunting.I joind just recently and have to admit that I have suffered from information overload and brain ache. However, Rome was not built in a day and it takes time and with time comes experience. I personally refer back to previous lessons all the time. I also print off the lessons to read away from the computer.
So I would say to anyone thinking of quitting, think again and give some time and commitment and I am sure you will succeed in the end.

3

You are correct about it being daunting in respect to building a website. However, like you said, "Rome was not built in a day." Thanks for commenting and trying to encourage others to give it some time.

How can you know that a person would consider giving up without a second thought? Maybe the consideration to step away from WA came after the 20th thought. Financial struggles are relative to the person having them. To say "everyone struggles financially" is simply not true and to say that your financial struggles are the same as mine is not necessarily true. We must consider what we actually know about a person and their situation before we begin making statements against their choices, don't you think?

2

When I stated, "It is quite bothersome to read these posts and know someone can give up so easily without giving it a second thought," it was a figure of speech. I'm well aware that it does not occur without lots of thought.

I think it is safe to assume to some degree that everyone struggles financially at some point in their life. Obviously, not all struggles are the same but I'm confident some are to some degree.

It's not what I know about a person that made me decide to write this post, it's what I've read here on WA . They put it out their for us to read and therefore, gives us a right to comment. As I mentioned in my post, I'm not trying to offend anyone on WA, but I want you to know you can do whatever you put your mind to.

The point to my post was to get individuals thinking and to let them know they are not alone on here. It is easier to quit sometimes then to move forward for some as they get frustrated, become less confident, among other reasons we are not aware of .

This is WA an online business community were we are surrounded by a wealth of information to help us succeed. Furthermore, it's our duty to help others in their journey to succeed..

I have been here 3 years. I have learned a lot at WA. I love the community. Financial struggles are just as you said relative to the person having them. If I had to count on my websites to pay my bills then I would sink for sure. You never know for sure how much you may or may not make at any given time. The economy has not helped the past few years either.

Hello Betjon,

I don't know where you are reading about WA members quitting. However this blog makes me curious for more information. I'm relatively new here at WA and am getting my feet wet. It's important to know the REALITY here at WA before I promote it's affiliate program. I would hate to give a false picture of WA. So far, I'm really liking it, and am considering to become a premium member.

Are you able to tell me from what you read, how long they have been members,....3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 5 or more years? Do you know how many if any websites they completed?

If they been here for a long time like several years and still do not have income, then I would like to conclude that they are doing something wrong. Perhaps they are not following the curriculum offered here at WA, or they're not seeking advice from the WA community to help solve their problems.

If they been here only for a short time, like a few months, then they need to know it can take up to two years before quitting your job (that's what I learned from a senior member here). Until then, income can trickle in.

Please comment, and let me know who they are, so that I can understand them.

2

most of them has only been here one to two months. I started here in Dec of last year and have been promoting WA the first of this month I finally got my first commissions from my hard work on my site its paying for Jaaxy, my membership and a little bit for me. i am moving forward with great expectations so everyone that is thinking of quitting you are wrong. It just takes time to get it right.

sincerely

Tommy

These are individuals that have only been members a month or two. I've been a member since the end of June this year and so far so good. I have not made money but that will come eventually. However, I can tell you I've had over 600 visitors in about a month's time and thats gratification enough.

You should consider being a member here as there is a lot of learning offered not to mention the business community. I can say that I've learned things I never knew which has helped me immensely.

I only blogged this to try and encourage those considering leaving to reconsider. As with anything, it takes time to start making an income online.

2

Tommy and BetJon, Really this is SUPER!!. Thanks for this perspective. REALITY wins again.

4

You are so right, but I think a lot of the problem is that people are stuck in the instant gratification syndrome. They expect to do X and receive funds immediately. Sure that may be true when you sell on the likes of eBay, Amazon, and Etsy, it is not the case with IM.

Building a site, and an income stream takes time, possibly even a year or more. While the instant gratification makes me stray from time to time, I always come back to WA cause I know it will work, eventually.

3

That is correct as it will eventually all come together at some point but not within a few months. Money is important but not as important as building lasting relationships with people and being able to help them without scamming.

2

Absolutely right! Good job of waking up a few people--although everyone has reasons that we are not privvy to. They themselves may not even know; they just have a feeling to buy out, and then they back it up with excuses. That's how all selling is handled. They make an emotional decision and then back it up with logic (which may or may not have anything to do with the real why (the feeling). Aren't we people funny!

3

I don't know all their reasons however, I've read a few with the reasons I originally mentioned. I just hate to see someone give up on their dreams without putting in the effort 100%.

2

Heartbreaking, isn't it? You are just a good, genuine caring person. Thanks Heavens for people like you!
