Here are some quick tips to stop procrastination:

  1. Break your task in to small pieces
  2. Commit Your Task Aloud
  3. Bet with your Friends
  4. Do the Hardest Tasks First
  5. Don't ask how you feel about doing the task
  6. Understand Why you are Procrastinating
  7. Keep the End Goal in Mind
  8. Reward Yourself
  9. Tell yourself three stories to challenge your thinking. First, tell yourself the story of a time when you were "less than perfect" but still managed to successfully accomplish a goal; second, tell yourself the story of someone who you believe to be perfect (or pretty close to it), but fell short of achieving his or her objectives; and third, tell yourself the story of the "default future" you’re facing—in other words, how will your project, endeavor, or career turn out if you continue on this course of inaction?
  10. Use the 3..2..1.. method where you start counting from 3 to 1 every time you are facing a problem with procrastination. When you reach one the only rule is to do whatever you were procrastinating about. You may only count when the task is possible to complete right then and there
