I nearly quit Wealthy Affiliate; here's what brought me back

When I first joined Wealthy Affiliate in October 2024, I was excited. The idea of starting an online business sounded like a dream come true. But not long into the journey, I hit a wall. I got stuck trying to design a simple logo for my business hub—and it frustrated me more than I expected. I began to question if I have enough tech skill to do this. Eventually, I stopped logging in. I didn’t feel confident in my tech skills. I was comparing myself to others. I felt like I had to perfect everything before launching. The logo, just a small thing became a big mental block.

Life got busy, and I just didn’t feel the motivation. But in this experience, I learnt that sometimes it’s not the big things that trip us, it is the small frustrations that steal our momentum and stops or delays our progress.

But something in me never changes and I came back. And what is that something? I realized the vision I had in my heart didn’t go away. I saw others posting again and it reminded me that I can do this too. I chose to stop chasing perfection and start making progress. I want to grow, and WA is a place where I can learn and build at my own pace. I don’t want fear and frustration to be the reason I stay stuck. I see that I don’t have to figure it all out. I just have to keep moving. I learned, just like many of you, that progress beats perfection. Community matters. When I read other people’s stories, I feel inspired. Every skill can be learned step-by-step. Even logos, websites, SEO, and others. And WA provides all that. Taking a break isn’t failing. Staying down is. But coming back? That’s strength.

To You the reader, if you’ve ever felt stuck, discouraged, or like me you’re not techy enough, you’re not alone. I’ve been there too. But a reminder for you is you’re capable of learning. Your vision is still alive in your heart and is still valid. It’s okay to start again. Don’t give up when it gets hard. Give yourself permission to grow slowly.
