Dog is the new duck. Children indeed in all mammals are innocent, oblivious to dangers, and trusting explicitly. They just follow, and thank God for the good natured dog, protecting them.

It reminds me of what was shown on Yahoo few months back, when a baby baboon came down from the tree to play with a lioness. The mother watched in fear, and couldn't come down when she realised the danger. Funnily enough, the lioness was also protective, and fought off a lion who was aggressive to the baby baboon. While the two lions were at war over the baby baboon, they both rolled over to a far distance, the mother seized the opportunity, came down quickly to take the baby back to the top of the tree. Nature is always wonderful.
