Hey Team,just wanted to share a pretty good story about the success of a friend of mine.She asked me for a bit of help on a wordpress site she has created all by herself by just watching youtube videos on what to do next.She has nothing to do with the WA platform and had never heard of it.The site she created was on her love of travelling a particular region of a country that she knew inside out because she just full stop loves the place.
Anyway,I go look at the site she made and it blew me away.In 8 months,with 4 months off to take photos because she felt like quitting she built this asset,All done monkey,see monkey do from youtube mixed with hard work, passion and love for her content.All on her own,from scratch and didnt even know where to start on day 1 but youtube.
When I saw it I told her to hurry up and get it published because it was brilliant but she kept fussing and saying its not ready yet.Anyway she published and not even 2 weeks later the local tourism authority stumble across the site,email her and want to meet her and have already offered to work with her on a joint tourism project because they have nothing like this from their own paid staff.
The moral of the story for me is,here we are swimming in a sea of resources at WA and here comes my friend with nothing and does this.Woke me up bigtime !!
