The Exploitation of Audra The Bidnesslady
Take a journey with me?
I believe that everything happens for a reason; that events occur at critical junctures in our lives to slow us down. Often times we are racing straight through the caution light and we either miss a connection with someone placed in our lives for a purpose. Or in my case, I almost missed a signal that while I may have been back on track, I was on the wrong track.
Slow Down When Approaching Caution Lights!
On the evening of June 11 I stopped at a gas station on the outskirts of town on the way back home after spending the weekend with my parents. My wife said to "isn't that Robert S******?" I said, its possible but I don't have my glasses on, I'm not sure." So, as I was walking over to the person another person walked up to him, shook his hand and he said, "hello neighbor". The other male then proceeded to speak to other parties with this person and I approached him and said, "hello neighbor". We then laughed, and instead of shaking hands, we hugged. We hadn't seen each other in over 20 years.
I Don't Believe In Chance Encounters!
Robert then explained that he had me a woman who works with an agency that builds residential properties and that they built several in some challenged communities in the city of Atlanta. He went on to mention that he thought about me and a project he and I started together that met with demise because we were new and got involved with the wrong people. Further that it was by design that we were both at that place at that time. We exchanged numbers and were on our respective trips.
Rejection Not Failure
On June 26 my application for Google Adsense was rejected. I was bummed. I was dejected I didn't quit on myself! (See the blog with same title). Instead, I went on a mission to eclipse 1000 followers by my premium anniversary date 5/28. (see the blog).

Many of you may have read Audra's log yesterday entitled "Just An Idea". I read it and immediately responded with a suggestion that just rolled right out of my head and onto the keyboard trough my fingers. Then it happened...
Have You Neglected Your Niche?
Out of somewhere a voice asked me "why have you neglected your niche?" I was floored. I had to own up to my error. For better than 20 years I have been deeply embedded in helping people in need. I know it like the back of my hand. But, I allowed other people to destroy the love that I have for the work. I found WA and decided that I would fabricate a niche and try to make money from it when over and over I hear the content shouldn't sell it should help. My encounter with Robert, my rejection by Google, and my response to Audra's dilemma all worked together to help me recognize an important fact...
I Was On The Wrong Track
So, my current website will continue to be a work-in-progress. But, I will now refocus on the one thing I enjoy outside of my family and that is working to improve impoverished communities. Thank you Audra for sharing your dilemma.
And family I apologize for a rather long journey if you made it to the end. If you don't get anything else from my story today remember to always do this when faced with what appears to be a setback...Remain...
There's a message for you!

Great post. Makes a lot of sense. Things usually happen in 3s. I think this is the case for you ;-) Glad you have seen that you have to go in a different direction. You'll make it ;-)
I too believe that everything happens for a reason and even if we can't see it at the time, it will become apparent :)
Greer hugs you've got the will needed to face rejection as acceptance of a different approach :)
Hey Greer,
Things happen for a reason. Many heed the warning and some don't. Good to see you on your toes.
Congrats!
Greg
Greer, realizing that we are on the wrong track can be a blessing. It is very satisfying to help those in need and you are wise to refocus on that. The world needs more people like you.
Thanks for sharing Greer. I don't believe in coincidence either. I think if our focus is on helping everything else will fall into place.
