Why My WordPress Site Is Slow

After a couple of weeks of loosing sleep about the speed of my website, I finally had an atiimpeney of why my WordPress Site is slow!

After hearing that you should load the very first image on your posts near the head of your website with an PNG Image because the Kraken Tool reduces the size of images a lot more using PNG Images, I preceded to load 20 posts using this method.

It wasn't too much further down the track when I thought to myself - could the PNG images that I loaded near the header of my website, actually be slowing down my WordPress load time?

It turns out that by loading PNG Images as your first image does slow down your website loading speed...

So I went about doing a test where I replaced the first PNG image with a JPEG, and the results were amazing.
