A personal touch
It's about time I got back to doing some work for a change. I have not done anything constructive for about 2 weeks now, but there is a good reason for that.
My son-in-law and grand daughter were visiting for a week from the UK, I took them back to the airport last Friday. Now, anyone with grand children will understand, nothing else exists in the time that you spend with them. And the week before, I was just busy with something else.(ok, so maybe I've also been a bit lazy)
The festive season is once again upon us, and with this comes the question of gifts. A few years ago my wife and I decided that buying gifts for everyone was becoming rather expensive, and trying to find the right stuff is always a nightmare, so Marian decided to make gifts(she is very talented), and that is what we've done ever since. We also found that the home-made gifts are more appreciated, because of the personal touch(a lesson in marketing).
So, here are just a few things that she has made:
Hand bags made from used tea bags
Serving spoons made with shells
A variety of home-made candles.
Carved Ostrich eggs.
And loads more stuff, you get the idea.
Until next time, stay safe out there,
John.

Oh, how beautiful, John and Marian. I just love all the personal touch stuff. I've suddenly got an idea. Wow! I'll contact you both one of these days, as I have to go now. Have a great week ahead and thank YOU for all that you both do.

Gorgeous! It's always so fun to get something handmade.
About the teabags, the only kind I am familiar with are made with very flimsy paper. The ones you are using in the craft items, what is their material?
Hi Mary, they are ordinary tea bags, just dried and emptied out, you'd be surprised how tough they really are. Thanks for the comment.

Great stuff. Who wouldn't be thrilled to receive some of these goodies.
