I find it very important to make sure your content is well written with good accurate information. It is equally important to have good grammatical sentence structures and spelling.

I must think too highly of myself because I always seem to miss my mistakes when I proofread my pages. It's as if I'm thinking "it has to be right. I know it is!"

So often, I reread my pages not expecting to find errors. WRONG! That's where the Feedback system comes in very handy. It has been proven to me over and over again that it is the best way to proofread your writings. Having someone else to do it!

The Feedback system gives the opportunity to allow others to read your material which can prove if you have conveyed your thoughts accurately and correctly or not.

I'd like to thank all those who have responded and have given critical feedback on my posts and pages. You have really made a difference!

Thank you Art. Sensible and worthwhile advice.

You're welcome Chuka. I'm still learning too!

Always check, I can not read my L, I, N, E, T, AND MY SHIFT KEY IS BROKEN,

Wow Mike, That's quite a challenge! I'm sure you're up to the task though!! :)

I am use to typing anyways, so it works, and the little rubber cup under the key is still there so I glued the edge so I can still use the shift key.

Always necessary. With me the keyboard is wearing, especially letter E. anyone else notice this? I've seen it on other keyboards as it is the most used letter of the alphabet.

I make so many errors, I have to buy a new monitor every week because of all the whiteout I use.

Blonde huh?

That's a good one Drjec.!!

CateR said it all in her response :) We humans are not designed to pick up our own errors very efficiently it seems. Cheers William

I agree, CateR is also right in her comment.

Erhumm - that's not the problem. The problem is the brain.
When you reread what you wrote after writing it your brain knows what should be there and inserts it automatically for you.

To get round that (i) read it out loud slowly word-by-word... don't rush or skip words or (ii) wait a while - read it again the next day and you should see omissions/errors or (ii) get someone else to read it to check for mistakes.

Right CateR,

I'm thinking its a little bit of both. Sometimes I get a little insulted with the critiques. Like when you get your paper back from the professor with red marks all over it. I always hated that but that's what makes me dig harder to get it right. LOL! When it still comes back with red marks, I'm very humbled. It's all good though!

It certainly helps if you can get someone else to proofread for you :)

I My sister has a BS degree in English and a MS degree in education. I considered hiring her to proofread for me but the Feedback system here is paid forward and I think is equally as valuable. (and probably cheaper?) LOL!
