Downed
I was so fired up last week that I want to write 3 articles. But none of them now.
Obstacles
It was the first week for my toddler daughter in the daycare. We have to leave her there every weekdays.
It was so hard for me and my wife to see her in that happy place. It felt like we abandoned her. I think all parents know how we felt.
I dropped her off at 7:15 AM and left for work. Picked her up at 5:30 PM. Almost 12 hours at daycare.
At home, my daughter insisted to play with us until 10PM. I think she knows that she and her parents still need bonding time.
This rigorously new schedule finally took a toll on all of us. My daughter has a flu, I got a bad stomach ache, and my wife just super tired.
Sick
I was forced to go to toilet once every 1 hour. That was too tiring. I can't get any sleep at all. I even woke up the Rooster to remind it to crow in the morning. It didn't like me at all.
This stomach ache forced me to stay at home for 2 days! I think I can safely said it was diarrhea. No energy even to lift up my eyes but had to force my body to go back and forth between bathroom and bedroom. ARRGGH!!
A New Hope
Today is Monday again. Still not functioning at 100% but at least I know my duty and my DREAM.
My dream is not to drop my daughter at a child care ever again.
My dream is to play with her every chance I get.
My dream is to be with my wife cuddling in front of TV because we can. Not because we are too tired and can't do anything else.
My dream is to have a quality time with my family
What is your dream?

I hope you are all feeling better now. Leaving your child in daycare is tough for you all. Hold on to the dream and it will become reality
Take care, hope everything gets into normal, it's always hard for parents to go through the first days of school of our children.
I hope you get your dream. I understand the sickness part. I have been sick ALL winter except for two weeks. I was so bad I needed three different antibiotics on top of all my natural supplements.
I hope you get better soon!
Well it was three in a row, not all at once. Yes, I am doing better. Just fighting off the bugs from co-workers...pinkeye now.
I know what you are going through, and although I have a daycare, to provide care to children who's parents have to work, I do believe there is no better place than home for a child. I, myself, have been in the comfortable and fortunate position to never had to bring my own children to a daycare.
Yup. It is now a daily reminder of my dream. It pains me every time I have to drop her off.
Make your dream come true! And when you need a kick in the *ss, do not hesitate to give me a PM ;)
Very worthwhile dreams, Arief. I remember the time we first had to drop off one our daughters at kindergarten. It was very difficult for our daughter and us. I understand your feelings.

I see and feel you have the faithfulness to your family. You are an adored family man.
Have you consulted a doctor about your health problem? That might be a bacterial disease and it should be addressed properly for if not it will recur in the future.
The right time is still open to everyone to do anything good under the sun.

I'm sorry to hear things did not get off to a good start, but I hope all is well now.
I am starting to run again!
Great!
