Gold medal
I know that this isn't Olympic playground but I must express my joy. Tina Maze of Slovenia and Dominique Gisin of Switzerland have both won a gold medal in the Olympic women’s downhill. Of course I'm happy for both but especially for Tina who is my fellow citizen. :)

Citizen or not, this Sunday I kept getting emotional every time the winners came through. I can't imagine the time, sweat, tears and sacrifice they have put into their sport. So we here in the WA community should see them as role models and give our businesses our all just as athletes do.

I think anyone that reaches the peak of their sport (or business) within reason, deserves to be celebrated. The athletes you are talking about are an inspiration to future generations - and it's really when the olympics and winter olympics are on, that you see kids out in the street, trying to emulate some of these people.
I don't think they are too dis-similar to what many of us are trying to achieve here - they know what they want, and they focus and work towards it. That is what we are all trying to do here too.
