Meaning & Money: a TED Talk worth sharing
Do you ever feel like Sisyphus pushing the rock up the same hill over and over again?
As Wealthy Affiliates we have complete control over how we structure our time, what niche excites us, and how and when we set sail. Rather than working on someone else’s project (I realize that some of us need to do this for now) we can craft our own empire and put meaning into our work.
How is meaningful work tied to our bottom line?
To find out how meaning and money are connected I watched the Ted Talk:
“What Makes Us Feel Good About Our Work?” by Dan Ariely
<a href="https://youtu.be/5aH2Ppjpcho">https://youtu.be/5aH2Ppjpcho</a>
It’s the meaning behind the message we offer to people that makes our journey here at WA enjoyable and profitable. Sharing something of value starts with sharing what’s important to you and how it has made a difference in your life.
In Dan's 20 minute talk, he shares the role of meaning in our work and how it adds to profits--in short, because when the work matters we work harder and create more value.
Dan Ariely
The value of commenting on each others websites is enormous, because we not only get great feedback, but we also feel heard.
Dan Ariely explains why this is so important so that we don’t feel like Sisyphus pushing the rock up the same hill in a hellish endless cycle.
I have found that over the years, TED Talks are an amazing (and free) way to get motivated and put my best work out there. There is no shortage of training here on WA, which includes sharing great ideas that we come across.
I hope you enjoy this TED talk as much as I have, and that it refreshes you on why your niche matters—it’s in the meaning.

Thanks for stopping by, and the point is we don't have to be like that. Appreciate your comment.
At least Dante eventually gets out! Actually, I'm feeling very motivated and can push the rock over the top of the hill thanks to the group energy.
