Make Yourself a Big Favor - Don't Compare Yourself With Others
You start creating your website. You are very eager and your energy level is high! You really want to do this and succeed!
What happens? You check your "competitors". You check others here at WA and see how far they have come. You notice the amount of traffic they have and compare it to your own numbers. It makes you feel stressed and your self esteem decreases. Your motivation decreases. You start doubting yourself.
Wait - I want to give you an advice, may I?
Please. Make yourself a great favor and DON'T compare yourself with others! Just compare yourself with YOU. You don't really know others background and circumstances. You don't know what they've been through to accomplish what they've accomplished.
The only one you should compare yourself is you.
Otherwise, you are hurting yourself and create unnecessary obstacles for yourself.
Just measure and see where YOU are going. Celebrate every single little "win", be happy and enjoy your progress. Enjoy your journey and be proud of yourself for TAKING ACTION!
If you are consistent in your way of working towards your desired goals - success will follow.
Everyone have their journey. Focus on yours, and you will get there.
Stay motivated and focus!
Love,
Anna

Good advice, Anna!
I know that this is something that I constantly allow to happen to myself, and it's kinda hard to get out of this habit, especially since we are supposed to look at our competition every now and then... Your approach is perfect, though, and I'll try to remind myself of your advice when I notice being "trapped" by comparing my own progress and journey with others'.
Thanks,
chris
Thanks Chris!
I have to remind myself of this every now and then. And I really dont want to put energy on such things. We all need a gentle reminder sometimes, right? :-)
A very motivating post, Anna! You are your own special person, inside and out! Everyone should shine as they were intended to---in their own way, with their own thoughts and in their own time! All the best to you, my dear!
