6 Months at Wealthy Affiliate

Wow, it's been 6 months that I'm a member of WA!

I recall the day I started from a blank Blogger installation (don't use Blogger, we all know WordPress is the best!), now Bloggingthing is a full fledged website.

Weeks before joining WA, I was so desperate in search of a way to live a life on my own terms, not working a typical 9 - 5 job.

So I started to learn affiliate marketing, and it was a huge shock to realize all courses on the topic are crap. But then, I stumbled across WA.

It's the only online course on Make Money Online that has virtually no complains.

And I decided to give it a try, after all, you have nothing to loose, right?

Well, not for me. Most of you wouldn't know WA doesn't offer free memberships in certain countries, that includes Vietnam.

In the end, I took the plunge.

And here we are, half a year later. In this post, I want to share with you some highlights of my experience, as a way to keep myself updated and also to give others an idea of what can be accomplished on WA.

A quick recap

My main goal when I joined WA is to be able to build a sustainable income stream, but as Bloggingthing grows – I wanted to build a brand, a space that's supports bloggers to create content that matters.

In that area, I have a few sweet results. My post called "108 Experts give Advice to New Bloggers" garners over 600 shares...

... by my admirations like Jon Morrow (who happens to have over 100k followers). No less!

I was also featured on ProBlogger, the largest blogging community.

Finally, I made my first sale!

None of this would have been possible without WA, and I am very very thankful.

What's next?

For the last months I was too focused on ranking for highly competitive keywords, and although I earned recognitions and got the chance to interact with some of the leading influencers in the industry, I am nowhere near Google's first page.

Now I will focus more on SEO and ranking for long-tail keywords to scale my earnings. Then I'll be able to invest on more tools to really help with Search Engine Optimization.

Specifically in the following month, I will

  • Update my Wealthy Affiliate University review that I wrote upon joining WA. It's been 6 months already.
  • Rank on Google's top 5 for at least one keyword, I'm still nervous when it comes to SEO, but let's do it!
  • Continue to learn everything there is to know about SEO,
  • Continue building relationship with industry leaders.

What's your goal for next month? Let me know below, I would love to hear from you!
