Angie's progress : From conception to the cradle

When I first joined WA in March 2015, I was simply ecstatic. Here is a website that I can really learn step by step about creating my own online business. An opportunity for me to do something I love and still get paid for it. The lessons seem easy enough. In no time, $$$ into the bank. Excellent! Then, reality hit and grounded me.

Yes, the lessons are simple enough to follow. Logically, if you follow it to a tee, enjoying the fruits of your labour should be soon enough. The reality is there is another side to this business, which is , YOURSELF! Discipline and focus is KEY in this business and I was lacking of both. I was not ready with the time and effort it would take me to do the business. I was just going through the motions and it became overwhelming for me to go ahead. " Oh, nothing is happening.This is for the IT experts, not me. Better to forget this WA and online thing". This thought kept coming and going. There were times, I just did nothing.

Flashback to the past, I have always quit something which was challenging or didn't meet my own "deadlines". I realised that I always liked to gain something without much effort in it, if not, I ain't doing it. This realisation made me stop and reflect. " Angie, do you really want to start off your 40s like this? GROW UP ! Nothing is going to happen if you don't work at it". Sounds like a harsh self pep talk? Yes, it was and still is.

At present , I am going through each lesson one by one and working on my website . I am rather pleased with how the website in taking shape and the WA members suggestions are really helpful. The help and motivation shown by the community truly encourages me to keep going.

The niche that I have chosen is very close to my heart and for me , personally, if it can help at least one person out there, I have achieved my goal. Right now, it is still a "baby". It needs a whole lot of nurturing.
