A hair- butcher's idea

Just to let you know that I thought and thought. Took a break for coffee, came back and thought some more.......BLANK
This is what I have been doing for weeks.
I have decided that my next niche will be a collection of words, phrases forgotten-yet- delightful from eras past.
I have always had a love of old books in junk shops, where I got my inspiration.
Did you know that I am Hair-Butcher? Jeeze, I didn't either! Apparently in the early 1800s, thats what we barbers were called. Well I have been called worse in my life....

Judy, thanks for sharing. That would be a great niche as there are still many people that like to read old books. I did not know that but did know as indicated below that they did surgery. Debbie
Hello Judy. Perhaps Hair-Butcher was derived from the original title for barbers, which was Barber Surgeons.
Barbers at one time also performed surgery. You most likely already know this.

I just looked up info about St Damien. Never knew about him but he's someone we all should have been taught about at school.
For those who don't know, he spent the last years of his life trying to wipe out leprosy in Hawaii. He contracted leprosy himself but that didn't stop his work. He eventually died from leprosy.
In the photo of St Damien at the following link, his right arm seems to have been replaced with a wooden limb.
