Sidebar Widgets Wordpress - When Is It Best To Use Them
I love how easy it is to put a sidebar widget in Wordpress and fill it with all of the different banners and links to pormote your different products.
The only thing that concerns me is over promotion. What I mean is is there a time to put them that is correct or should they be there from the start.
I performed a little experiment during black friday and had a widget on the side of my black friday post just to test out the stuff. You can see below what I had.
Im a little bit hesitant still because I dont want to scare of potential new traffic with excessive promotion. I would be interested to see what other people think of this and how it would effect things.
This is more of a check opinion kind of thing. Thanks everyone.

Thank you for sharing. I could not agree more that when it is too much I just do not follow the website nor read any of the content. Especially if the advertisements are gifs!!
I have not looked into premium anything yet. I am determined to make money doing this prior to spending more. Just Me. I have only been doing this for 2 months and had a huge learning curve. I have not lost enthusiasm one iota! :)
That's one of the things I like about premium themes. You can choose which pages and posts to have a sidebar on instead of either all or none. You can also create different sidebars to show on specific pages. If you get a theme that supports this.
I reviewed Studiopress and the Genesis Framework looks real good, but better for those with more than 1 or 2 sites. I ended up getting TheFox from Envato cause it was on sale. Themeforest theme by transmutarian or something like that.
I don't like the idea of annual licensing fees. Elegant Themes and Genesis are good because if you have to pay annually at least you get many themes for your $.
