My first week

One week in
So after finally taking the plunge and joining as a premium member (massive thanks to my mentor @JackCao), I have accomplished more than I would ever have dreamed was possible. I don't come from a techy background (I still type with 1 finger - although I am proud to say I can do this with both hands!) and yet I have been able to write my own website and get it SEO ready, with lots of content in less than 1 week. I have also created a related Instagram account and Facebook page which is already producing traffic.

So far I have only hit one snag. I could not get my email to forward from my sites contact page. I tried all sorts, but with no success. Finally I asked a question in the sites help center and was ably assisted by @Triblu. She pointed me in the direction of site support who solved my problem within a matter of minutes. This is awesome support and adds so much more to the already great value of wealthy affiliate (if you see this Kyle or Carson, please don't put the price up!)
My Niche
I have used my website to create a small business for my daughter in looking after small pets (hamsters, gerbils and lizards etc) at home. I am hoping this will earn her some pocket money whilst she is still at school and could maybe lead to something bigger as she is older. It is not going to be a niche that works well for affiliate marketing, although I should be able to put some affiliate links on later. I have chosen a separate niche to do this on my second website which will probably be a pet food comparison site. My brain is working on overdrive thinking about ideas and for the first time in ages I am excited about what lies ahead.
Future plans
I am hoping that my daughters business will become successful and then hopefully my affiliate business can earn me enough money to give up my full time job. I want to have a business which does not rely on location so that I can spend more time traveling and doing the things I want.
