Trying to figure it out!

So I am thinking I need to start another site in addition to the site I started a few months ago but I am not sure.

The niche site I started was healthy family meals, so I have been sharing recipes, reviews of products etc. This is fun, but I also have a passion for writing and sharing my story.

I have a section on my page titled "mom stuff" where I share little tidbits about mom hacks, life as a mom in general etc. I feel like this is a way for my readers to get to know me and to build some rapport with them, but I am wondering if I should keep doing this or keep the site just strictly meal ideas and have another site where I write "personal blogs."

I don't know. Some of my favorite sites are ones in which I get a variety of information, and they are managed by someone I feel like is "human" if that makes sense!

Have you ever faced a decision like this? What did you do? Does this post even make sense? haha!

Thanks for your advice!

Hello Abby, personally I would separate the two.

Thanks for the advice!

I would go with creating sub categories with one site until you are well and satisfied with traffic Abby. All changes and updates are easier to manage and improve rather than having to split your attention with another platform!

Thank you for the great advice

Certainly a quandary. I have two sites for similar reasons. It is a challenge to add content and keep both up to date.

Ideally, if you could incorporate the two and see how that progresses, you can always spin off the second site later.

That's what I was worried about, the work to keep 2 up!! Thanks so much for your advice!!

I like to see personality, that's what stands you apart and makes your work unique, I agree, go for it!

So nice to hear that input! Thank you! Sometimes I just need to hear I'm on the right track

Go for it, go for the gusto and your passion!

Thank you

It could go both ways I suppose, someone looking for healthy meal plans might not want to read about the other stuff and vice versa.
On the other hand you know where you are with just one site.
I have 3 sites and I hate trying to juggle them all but I suppose its up to the individual.
Sorry I couldn't be much help.
Matthew :)

So true which is why I am questioning the whole thing! I guess I have to go with what makes the most sense in my head! Thanks for your response
