Well, it was a struggle but I finally managed to get code into my site! Right now I am using Amazon as a starter as I wait for approval from ShareASale.
Just thought I would share that success to tell people not to give up! Code may make you go crazy, but I watched a YouTube video that was what to hit, highlight, copy, paste, select text, the button that says code, hit visual and your product should pop up! IMPORTANT: SAVE IT! Otherwise you will wind up doing it over and over again.
