So Happy to Be Sick in Bed With Flu

I have never been so happy to have been in bed with flu, bored out of my mind, and surfing the web. It all started when I received an email for a product which I bought in response to being on someone's list. I am prone to purchasing shiny new things. So the first day, I played around with my new toy and then went looking for more shiny new toys. I can't help it, I do try to not get onto lists but I still cannot resists those newsletters. I swear online marketers know where to find me!

Shiny New Things

I cannot remember what I was searching for but I came across a product where they were talking about high ticket items and that made me think of the name Mobi. Now back in 2015, my husband and I tried to break into internet marketing and we landed up spending a about £3500 on joining Mobi, following the training which was not even close to the quality of the training here on WA , and in the end, simply could not carry on as we ran out of money but I have been hankering to build an online business ever since the internet was born.

I became curious because the product that I was looking at was so similiar to Mobi and the sales pitch was very aggressive that I googled Mobi and found a blog detailing what had happened with the court case. I was so surprised to learn that it was Wealthy Affiliates that took Mobi to task and fought back with everyone benefiting. I received a payment from Mobi for which I was very grateful.

Curiosity got the better of me so I clicked on the Wealthy Affiliate link and here I am. That was a few days ago and since then I have created a website, written 4 blog posts using keywords with QSR of under 50, played around with AI and met dozens of people. I have completed the initial training, upgraded to premium plus and have gone through more training and now onto level 3 to learn how to start monetising.

Catalyst

2015 was definitely not the right time for me to get going with an internet business. At that time, I could not think of a niche and did not really understand about the hows and whys. All I knew is that I had to find a niche, become an authority in said niche and blog about it. Simples!

I was also told that often we need to go through some sort of catalyst in our lives resulting in tremendous changes and when we come out the other side, we will possess strengths and knowledge which we can choose to use to help others gong through the same issue. I went through a hugely stressful few years with job losses, loss of a parent, moved across country underwent a health crisis, bought a business and a few other things as well. So not a great time but what I went through has given me first hand knowledge on Anxiety and Stress and how it can affect your day to day life. Silver lining is my niche is Anxiety as I can empathize with sufferers and share ways to cope. Back in 2015, I would not have been able to offer the help that I can do now and I would not have been comfortable with the niche at all. Divine timing me thinks.

Moving Forward

Sadly I have to return to work tomorrow but as I mostly work from home, once I have caught up with the backlog from being off ill, I will be spare moment on my training and building my website.

I am learning loads and look forward to setting up monetisation and social media. I left social media completely a while back but I am sure it will not take me long to get back in the saddle. Onwards and Upwards!
