If I Stopped When Things Got Hard My House Would Look Like This

Challenge yourself every day to do something hard because everything worth anything in life requires investment.

Pretty much everyone I know tried to talk me out of buying my house. I am in love with this old place.

Once upon a time this house was the nicest on the block. My neighbors told me how they watched it fall apart over the years, slowly it lost its appeal and eventually it was empty.

The people that used to own this place passed it along to their family when they passed away and they didn't see the value in it. It sat vacant in for almost two years (well mostly, there was critters I had to evict when I moved in).

I fell in love with the character, the elevated ceiling in my living room is handcrafted wood it is gorgeous!

My house needs everything and I am not over exaggerating.

Last year I did the foundation and replaced beams. I am getting to be a professional at plumbing and priming hot water tanks. If you ever need someone to knock down a wall I am your gal and I can find a burnt fuse in the dark with a cell phone and my best friend YouTube.

No one believed me when I said this house would be beautiful again.

They couldn't see what I could see.

This pull I had to this old house was magnetic and unstoppable it was mine the second I saw it. I know what it could be.

This is my house!

All my neighbors are stopping to stare at the house that used to be the eyesore of the block. The hidden gem that no one thought could be fixed is being restored to its former glory.

It wouldn't have happened if I didn't have a dream and a feeling deep down that this place was for me.

Never stop believing that you are on your way. If I stopped when things got hard I would have a huge hole in my front wall and no insulation when we hit -50 in the winter.

Looking at this old house full of promise reminds me not to give up when things get hard. All good things will come to those who wait and never give up on their dreams.
