When I worked in TV news, we used a tool for photo editing that I have used for a long time since. It is so easy to use! I am an affiliate for it, but I would recommend it regardless. It is free to use, but has great options for paid accts., too.

I use Pic Monkey for my collages(: Its very user friendly

I used it when I worked for ABC news and I loved it! I could do so much even with the free version of it!
